Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A fused aromatic ring derivative shown by the following formula (1): wherein R a and R b are independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent, p is an integer of 1 to 8 and q is an integer of 1 to 11, when p is 2 or more, plural R a s may be independently the same or different and adjacent R a s may form a ring, when q is 2 or more, plural R b s may be independently the same or different, L 1 is a single bond, or a substituted or unsubstituted divalent linking group, and Ar 1 is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 50 ring carbon atoms or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group having 5 to 50 ring atoms, provided that the substituent of L 1 , the substituent of Ar 1 , R a and R b contain no substituted or unsubstituted amino group.

The invention claimed is: 1. A fused aromatic ring derivative shown by the following formula (1): wherein R a and R b are independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent, p is an integer of 1 to 8 and q is an integer of 1 to 11, when p is 2 or more, plural R a s may be independently the same or different and adjacent R a s may form a ring, when q is 2 or more, plural R b s may be independently the same or different, L 1 is a single bond, or a substituted or unsubstituted divalent linking group, and Ar 1 is a substituted or unsubstituted dibenzofuranyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted dibenzothiophenyl group, provided that the substituent of L 1 , the substituent of Ar 1 , R a and R b contain no substituted or unsubstituted amino group. 2. The fused aromatic ring derivative according to claim 1 , which is shown by the following formula (2): wherein R a , R b , Ar 1 , p and q are the same as in the formula (1). 3. The fused aromatic ring derivative according to claim 1 , wherein Ar 1 is a substituted or unsubstituted dibenzofuranyl group. 4. The fused aromatic ring derivative according to claim 3 , wherein the —Ar 1 group is shown below: 5. The fused aromatic ring derivative according to claim 4 , wherein the —Ar 1 group is shown below: 6. The fused aromatic ring derivative according to claim 4 , being represented by the following formula: wherein R a , R b , L 1 , p and q are the same as in the formula (1). 7. A material for an organic electroluminescence device comprising the fused aromatic ring derivative according to claim 1 . 8. The material for an organic electroluminescence device according to claim 7 , which is an emitting material. 9. An organic electroluminescence device comprising: an anode, a cathode, and one or more organic thin film layers comprising an emitting layer between the anode and the cathode, wherein at least one of the organic thin film layers comprises the fused aromatic ring derivative according to claim 1 . 10. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 9 , wherein the emitting layer comprises the fused aromatic ring derivative. 11. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 10 , wherein the fused aromatic ring derivative is a host material. 12. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 9 , wherein the emitting layer further comprises at least one of a fluorescent dopant and a phosphorescent dopant. 13. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 12 , wherein the fluorescent dopant is an aryl amine compound. 14. The organic electroluminescence device according to claim 12 , wherein the fluorescent dopant is a styryl amine compound. 15. The fused aromatic ring derivative according to claim 1 , wherein L 1 is a single bond, a substituted or unsubstituted phenylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted naphthacenylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted anthracenylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted pyrenylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted biphenylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted terphenylene group, a substituted or unsubstituted fluorenylene group or a substituted or unsubstituted pyridylene group.
