Biodegradable coatings for implantable medical devices are disclosed.

What is claimed is: 1. A biodegradable coating comprising a biodegradable polymer having the following formula: wherein R 2 and R 3 are independently hydrogen or methyl group, m and n each are a positive integer. 2. An implantable medical device comprising the coating according to claim 1 . 3. The implantable medical device of claim 2 , wherein the implantable medical device comprises a stent. 4. An implantable medical device comprising a drug reservoir layer and a primer layer, wherein the primer layer is the coating according to claim 1 , and the drug reservoir layer is disposed over the primer layer.
