A method for a wireless local area network. The method according to one embodiment is performed by an access point and includes receiving a power save (PS) poll on a first 20 MHz channel from a station operating in a power save mode; receiving at least one duplicated PS poll frame on at least one second 20 MHz channel from the station, the at least one duplicated PS poll frame including at least one duplicate of the PS poll frame; and transmitting a buffered frame to the station as a response to at least one of the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for a wireless area network, the method performed by an access point (AP) comprising: transmitting a beacon frame to a station operating in a power save mode, the beacon frame including a Traffic Indication Map (TIM) element indicating that the AP has a buffered frame for the station; receiving, from the station, a power save (PS) poll frame and at least one duplicated PS poll frame to request the AP to transmit the buffered frame on a first 20 MHz channel and at least one second 20 MHz channel, the least one duplicated PS poll frame being received on the at least one second 20 MHz channel; and transmitting the buffered frame to the station as a response to at least one of the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame, wherein the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame respectively comprise a data field that is scrambled based on a scrambling sequence that represents an entire bandwidth in which all of the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame are transmitted. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein a number of the at least one second 20 MHz channel is one and the first 20 MHz channel is contiguous with the second 20 MHz channel. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein a number of the at least one second 20 MHz channel is three. 4. method of claim 1 , wherein number of the at least one second 20 MHz channel is seven. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the data field includes a transmitter address field set to a value which indicates that the scrambling sequence relates to the entire bandwidth which all of the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame are transmitted. 6. A device for a wireless local area network, the device comprising: a transceiver configured to transmit and receive radio signals; and a processor operatively coupled with the transceiver and configured to: instruct the transceiver to transmit a beacon frame to a station operating in a power save mode, the beacon frame including a Traffic Indication Map (TIM) element indicating that the device has a buffered frame for the station, instruct the transceiver to receive, from the station, a power save (PS) poll frame and at least one duplicated PS poll frame to request the device to transmit the buffered frame on a first 20 MHz channel and at least one second 20 MHz channel, the at least one duplicated PS poll frame being received on the at least one second 20 MHz channel, and instruct the transceiver to transmit the buffered frame to the station as a response to at least one of the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame, wherein the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame respectively comprise a data field that is scrambled based on a scrambling sequence that represents an entire bandwidth in which all of the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame are transmitted. 7. The device of claim 6 , wherein a number of the at least one second 20 MHz channel is one, and the first 20 MHz channel is contiguous with the second 20 MHz channel. 8. The device of claim 6 , wherein a number of the at least one second 20 MHz channel is three. 9. The device of claim 6 , wherein a number of the at least one second 20 MHz channel is seven. 10. The device of claim 6 , wherein the data field includes a transmitter address field set to a value which indicates that the scrambling sequence relates to the entire bandwidth in which all of the PS poll frame and the at least one duplicated PS poll frame are transmitted.
