What is claimed is: 1. A portable electronic health coaching system for coaching a user through a health plan using a portable electronic device, comprising: a display screen; a user input; a satellite positioning system receiver; an accelerometer; a wireless communication transceiver; a memory; and one or more processors configured to: receive a first input corresponding to user nutritional consumption; receive a second input corresponding to user nutritional expenditure; calculate a nutritional value based on the first and second inputs; determine whether a coaching message is needed based on a comparison of the nutritional value to a predetermined value; and receive the coaching message. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to automatically display the coaching message. 3. A method of providing an electronic coaching message to a user of a portable electronic coaching system, the method comprising: receiving first data corresponding to a nutritional consumption of the user from the portable electronic coaching system of the user; receiving second data corresponding to a nutritional expenditure of the user from the portable electronic coaching system of the user; calculating, via a processor of the portable electronic coaching system, a nutritional value based on the first and second data; determining whether the electronic coaching message should be provided based on a comparison of the nutritional value to a predetermined value; and receiving the electronic coaching message. 4. The method of claim 3 , further comprising determining the predetermined value based on information provided by the user. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the user provided information comprises one of user gender data and user weight data. 6. The method of claim 3 , further comprising: receiving nutritional data from a nutritional database; and determining the predetermined value based on the nutritional data. 7. The method of claim 3 , wherein the coaching message comprises a numerical value related to a specific consumable item. 8. The method of claim 3 , wherein the coaching message comprises a numerical value related to a specific nutrient. 9. The method of claim 3 , wherein the coaching message comprises a prompt for the user to take a specific health-related action. 10. The method of claim 3 , wherein the coaching message comprises a reminder for the user. 11. The method of claim 3 , wherein the coaching message comprises information related to the user's health at a future point in time. 12. The method of claim 3 , wherein the user nutritional expenditure comprises a caloric goal. 13. The method of claim 3 , wherein the second data comprises data related to a fitness activity. 14. The method of claim 3 , wherein the coaching message is provided to the user visually. 15. The method of claim 3 , wherein the coaching message is provided to the user audibly. 16. The method of claim 3 , further comprising displaying the coaching message on a display screen of the portable electronic coaching system. 17. A method of providing a health coaching message to a user of a portable electronic coaching device, wherein the portable electronic coaching device is carried by the user, the method comprising: receiving first electronic user data at the portable electronic coaching device corresponding to user nutritional consumption, the portable electronic coaching device comprising a microprocessor, a display screen, a user input, a satellite positioning system receiver, an accelerometer, and a wireless communication transceiver; calculating a nutritional value based on the first electronic user data using the microprocessor; determining whether the coaching message should be provided based on a comparison of the nutritional value to a predetermined value; accessing a remote nutritional database; and wirelessly receiving information from the nutritional database at the portable electronic coaching device immediately following receiving the first user electronic data at the portable electronic device, wherein calculating the nutritional value is further based on the information received from the nutritional database. 18. The method of claim 17 , further comprising: determining that the coaching message should be provided when the nutritional value is different than the predetermined value; and receiving the coaching message. 19. The method of claim 17 , wherein the coaching message comprises information related to a consumable.
