Disclosed herein are tools for repairing articular surfaces repair materials and for repairing an articular surface. The surgical tools are designed to be customizable or highly selectable by patient to increase the speed, accuracy and simplicity of performing total or partial arthroplasty.

What is claimed is: 1. A surgical kit for use in repairing a joint of a patient, comprising: at least one patient-specific surgical tool including a surface that has a shape substantially matching a shape of a corresponding surface of the joint of the patient; at least one non-patient specific tool; wherein the at least one patient-specific surgical tool and the at least non-patient specific tool are packaged in a single sterile tray. 2. The surgical kit of claim 1 , wherein the surgical kit is disposable. 3. The surgical kit of claim 1 , wherein the non-patient specific tool is reusable. 4. The surgical kit of claim 1 , wherein the single sterile tray includes at least one layer of surgical tools. 5. The surgical kit of claim 1 , further including one or more implant components configured to repair the joint of the patient. 6. The surgical kit of claim 5 , wherein the one or more implant component are configured based on electronic image data of the joint of the patient. 7. The surgical kit of claim 5 , wherein the one or more implant component are selected from preexisting systems.
