Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The power storage device comprises a plural cell, an exhaust passage and a sealing plate. The plural cells is aligned in a first direction, each of the cells includes a gas discharging valve for discharging a gas generated in the cell, each of the gas discharging valves is provided on a first side in a second direction of the cell, and the second direction is orthogonal to the first direction. The exhaust passage is configured to discharge the gas discharged from each of the gas discharging valves, extends in the first direction, and has an opening at a first end in the first direction. The sealing plate is provided at a second end of the exhaust passage in the first direction, includes plural recesses on a surface on the exhaust passage side of the sealing plate, and made of a resin.

The invention claimed is: 1. A power storage device comprising: plural cells aligned in a first direction, each of the cells including a gas discharging valve for discharging a gas generated in the cell, each of the gas discharging valves being provided on a first side in a second direction of the cell, and the second direction being orthogonal to the first direction; an exhaust passage configured to discharge the gas discharged from each of the gas discharging valves of the plural cells, the exhaust passage extending in the first direction, and the exhaust passage having an opening at a first end in the first direction; and a sealing plate provided at a second end of the exhaust passage in the first direction, the sealing plate including plural recesses on a surface on the exhaust passage side of the sealing plate, the surface being orthogonal to the first direction, and the sealing plate being made of a resin. 2. The power storage device according to claim 1 , further comprising: a cover member disposed separately from the cell on the first side in the second direction of the cell, the cover member defining a wall of the exhaust passage on the first side in the second direction of the exhaust passage, the cover member facing the gas discharging valve with interval in the second direction of the gas discharging valve, and the cover member being made of a metal. 3. The power storage device according to claim 1 or 2 , further comprising: plural partitioning plates, each of the partitioning plates being provided between the cells in the first direction, and each of the partitioning plates including a joining section projected to the first side in the second direction of the cell, the joining sections extending in two rows in the first direction, the joining sections defining a sidewall of the exhaust passage, and the gas discharging valve being positioned between the two rows of the joining sections. 4. The power storage device according to claim 1 wherein, the cells define a cooling passage between the cell and the adjacent cell in the first direction, a cooling medium which configured to cool the cell flows through the cooling passage, and the cooling passage is partitioned from the exhaust passage. 5. The power storage device according to claim 3 further comprising: a pair of end plates placing the plural cells between the end plates in the first direction; and a restraining member, each end of which being bonded to the corresponding end plate, the restraining member being located on the first side in the second direction of the cell, the restraining member extending in the first direction, and the restraining member configured to restrain the plural cells in the first direction, wherein the joining section has a hollow section therein that extends in the first direction, and the restraining member is inserted through the hollow section. 6. The power storage device according to claim 2 , further comprising: plural partitioning plates, each of the partitioning plates being provided between the cells in the first direction, and each of the partitioning plates including a joining section projected to the first side in the second direction of the cell, the joining sections extending in two rows in the first direction, the joining sections defining a sidewall of the exhaust passage, and the gas discharging valve being positioned between the two rows of the joining sections. 7. The power storage device according to claim 6 further comprising: a sealing member provided between the cover member and the joining section.
