A method of providing dynamic content includes providing a client device with access to an online marketplace over a network. The method also includes facilitating transmission of a user identifier stored by the client device to a payment service provider. The method further includes receiving dynamic content from the payment service provider in response to the user identifier. In addition, the method includes serving the dynamic content to the client device over the network.

What is claimed is: 1. A method of providing dynamic content, wherein the method is performed by a merchant system, the method comprising: receiving user information at the merchant system for a user associated with a preexisting account of a third party system; communicating the user information from the merchant system to the third party system; receiving dynamic content at the merchant system in response to the communicated user information; and communicating the dynamic content from the merchant system to a client device without requiring the client device to communicate with the third party system regarding the preexisting user account. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the merchant system receives the user information from the client device. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the user information comprises a cookie. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the user information comprises online shopping activity information associated with the user. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the merchant system receives the dynamic content from the third party system. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the third party system is a payment service provider system. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising filtering out user-identifiable information from the dynamic content before the dynamic content is communicated from the merchant system to the client device. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the dynamic content is communicated from the merchant system to the client device for display in a browser interface. 9. The method of claim 8 , further comprising providing the client device with access to an online marketplace through the browser interface. 10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the dynamic content comprises advertising information, marketing information, financial information, transaction information, and/or rating information. 11. A merchant system comprising: a server comprising an application implemented in program code stored in a non-transitory computer readable medium adapted to cause the merchant system to: receive user information at the merchant system for a user associated with a preexisting account of a third party system; communicate the user information from the merchant system to the third party system; receive dynamic content at the merchant system in response to the communicated user information; and communicate the dynamic content from the merchant system to a client device without requiring the client device to communicate with the third party system regarding the preexisting user account. 12. The merchant system of claim 11 , wherein the user information is received from the client device. 13. The merchant system of claim 11 , wherein the user information comprises a cookie. 14. The merchant system of claim 11 , wherein the user information comprises online shopping activity information associated with the user. 15. The merchant system of claim 11 , wherein the merchant system receives the dynamic content from the third party system. 16. The merchant system of claim 11 , wherein the third party system is a payment service provider system. 17. The merchant system of claim 11 , wherein the application is adapted to cause the merchant system to filter out user-identifiable information from the dynamic content before the dynamic content is communicated from the merchant system to the client device. 18. The merchant system of claim 11 , wherein the merchant system communicates the dynamic content to the client device for display in a browser interface. 19. The merchant system of claim 18 , wherein the application is adapted to cause the merchant system to provide the client device with access to an online marketplace through the browser interface. 20. The merchant system of claim 11 , wherein the dynamic content comprises advertising information, marketing information, financial information, transaction information, and/or rating information.
