Abstract

An interactive electronic greeting card with pop-up feature includes a pocket or cavity which houses various electronic and mechanical components and a pop-up element. In a first position, the pop-up element is substantially contained within the greeting card pocket or cavity. When the push button is depressed, the pop-up element is ejected or “pops up” out of the greeting card pocket or cavity, revealing a greeting or other printed indicia, a mobile object or a gift card attached thereto. The push button also initiates playback of a pre-loaded digital audio file, which may be a spoken message, a sound, a song, music or other such audio recording.

First claim

What is claimed is:

1. A pop-up greeting card comprising:
a main pocket having a front side, a back side parallel to and spaced apart from the front side, and a right side, left side and bottom panel which extend between the front and back sides;
a single pop-up panel which is operative to move from a first position wherein the pop-up panel is substantially contained within the main pocket and a second position wherein the pop-up panel is substantially outside of the main pocket;
at least one opening on the front side of the main pocket, the at least one opening being covered by a transparent or semi-transparent material;
at least one LED light contained within the main pocket behind the at least one opening on the front side of the main pocket;
a lever attached to the right or left side of the main pocket, the lever operative to move the pop-up panel from the first position to the second position and also to illuminate the at least one LED light, when the lever is pulled in a downward direction.

2. The pop-up greeting card of claim 1 , wherein the pop-up panel contains a gift card removably attached thereto.

3. The pop-up greeting card of claim 1 , wherein there are three openings covered by a transparent or semi-transparent material on the front side of the main pocket, each of the three openings having at least one LED light contained therebehind.

4. The pop-up greeting card of claim 1 , wherein the at least one LED light flashes upon pulling the lever in a downward direction.

5. The pop-up greeting card of claim 1 further comprising a sound module operative to store and play back at least one audio file.

6. The pop-up greeting card of claim 1 , wherein the pop-up panel exits the main pocket through the bottom panel.

7. A greeting card comprising
a multi-panel greeting card body comprising a pocket having an opening on a lower most edge thereof;
a panel which is operative to move between a first position wherein it is concealed within the multi-panel greeting card body and a second position wherein it is substantially outside of the multi-panel greeting card body;
at least one LED light, the at least one LED light contained behind a transparent or semi-transparent material;
a lever, which when pulled in a downward direction, moves the panel from the first position to the second position and which causes illumination of the at least one LED light.

8. The greeting card of claim 7 , wherein there are three LED lights.

9. The greeting card of claim 8 , wherein the three LED lights are contained behind semi-transparent material.

10. The greeting card of claim 7 , wherein the panel has a gift card removably attached thereto.

11. The greeting card of claim 7 further comprising a sound module operative to store and playback at least one audio file through a speaker.

12. The greeting card of claim 11 , wherein the lever controls activation of the sound module.

13. The greeting card of claim 11 , wherein pushing the panel back into the multi-panel greeting card body silences the playback of the at least one audio file through the speaker.

14. The greeting card of claim 7 , wherein the panel exits the greeting card through an opening in a bottom edge thereof.

15. A greeting card comprising:
a greeting card body having four sides, one closed end and one open end, the open end being located at a lowermost edge thereof;
a gift card holder contained within the greeting card body operative to move between a first position wherein the gift card holder is contained inside the greeting card body and a second position wherein the gift card holder is outside the greeting card body;
a lever located on an outside surface of the greeting card body;
wherein pulling the lever in a downward direction moves the gift card holder from the first position to the second position and illuminates the one or more lights.

16. The greeting card of claim 15 further comprising a sound module operative to store and playback at least one audio file through a speaker.

17. The greeting card of claim 16 , wherein the lever controls activation of the sound module.

18. The greeting card of claim 15 , wherein the gift card holder contains a gift card therein.

19. The greeting card of claim 15 further comprising one or more lights contained thereon.
