Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Provided is an electronic device with high portability, a highly browsable electronic device, or an electronic device having a novel light source that can be used in shooting photographs and video. The electronic device includes a camera and a flexible display portion. The display portion has a first region and a second region. The first region has a function of emitting light to a photographic subject. The second region has a function of displaying an image of the photographic subject shot by the camera. The display portion can be bent so that the first region and the second region face in different directions.

What is claimed is: 1. An electronic device comprising: a camera; and a display portion being flexible, wherein the display portion comprises a first region and a second region, wherein the display portion bends so that the first region and the second region face in different directions, wherein the camera overlaps with the display portion, wherein the display portion comprises a first pixel and a second pixel, wherein the first pixel comprises a first light-emitting element, wherein the second pixel comprises a second light-emitting element, wherein a third light-emitting element is between the first pixel and the second pixel, wherein each of the first pixel and the second pixel is controlled by active matrix driving, and wherein the third light-emitting element is controlled by passive matrix driving. 2. The electronic device according to claim 1 , wherein the first region is a light-emitting region emitting light to a photographic subject, and wherein the second region is a display region displaying an image of the photographic subject shot by the camera. 3. An electronic device comprising: a housing; a camera; and a light-emitting panel being flexible, wherein the light-emitting panel comprises a first region and a second region, wherein a part of the second region is provided on a first face of the housing, wherein the camera is provided on a second face of the housing, wherein the first face is opposite to the second face, wherein the light-emitting panel bends so that the first region and the second region face in different directions, wherein a part of the first region overlaps with the part of the second region, wherein the light-emitting panel comprises a first pixel and a second pixel, wherein the first pixel comprises a first light-emitting element, wherein the second pixel comprises a second light-emitting element, wherein a third light-emitting element is between the first pixel and the second pixel, wherein each of the first pixel and the second pixel is controlled by active matrix driving, and wherein the third light-emitting element is controlled by passive matrix driving. 4. The electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein the part of the first region is provided on the second face of the housing. 5. The electronic device according to claim 3 , further comprising a light source in the second face, wherein the camera does not overlap with the light-emitting panel. 6. The electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein the housing comprises a third face between the first face and the second face, and wherein a part of the light-emitting panel is provided on the third face. 7. The electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein the housing has a concave portion, and wherein the light-emitting panel is folded to fit in the concave portion. 8. The electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein the first region is a light-emitting region emitting light to a photographic subject, and wherein the second region is a display region displaying an image of the photographic subject shot by the camera. 9. An electronic device comprising: a camera; and a light-emitting panel being flexible, wherein the light-emitting panel comprises a third region including a first region and a second region, and a fourth region, wherein the fourth region is along an edge of the third region wherein the light-emitting panel bends so that the first region and the second region face in different directions, wherein the camera overlaps with the light-emitting panel, wherein the third region comprises a first pixel and a second pixel, wherein the first pixel comprises a first light-emitting element, wherein the second pixel comprises a second light-emitting element, wherein a third light-emitting element is between the first pixel and the second pixel, wherein each of the first pixel and the second pixel is controlled by active matrix driving, and wherein the third light-emitting element is controlled by passive matrix driving. 10. The electronic device according to claim 9 , wherein the first region is a light-emitting region emitting light to a photographic subject, wherein the second region is a display region displaying an image of the photographic subject shot by the camera, and wherein the fourth region is a non-display region. 11. The electronic device according to claim 9 , wherein the fourth region is a light-emitting region emitting light to a photographic subject, and wherein the third region is a display region displaying an image of the photographic subject shot by the camera. 12. The electronic device according to claim 9 , wherein the fourth region comprises a fourth light-emitting element. 13. The electronic device according to claim 12 , wherein the fourth light-emitting element is controlled by passive matrix driving. 14. The electronic device according to claim 12 , wherein the light-emitting panel comprises a circuit and a wiring, and wherein the fourth light-emitting element overlaps with one or both of the circuit and the wiring.
