What is claimed is: 1. A method for providing a highlight compilation to a user of a fantasy sports contest application, comprising: determining, using control circuitry, an identity of a user in a fantasy sports contest; accessing, using the control circuitry, fantasy sports contest information associated with the user from a database, wherein the fantasy sports contest information comprises a fantasy roster containing names of real-life athletes selected by the user; identifying, using the control circuitry, a plurality of video segments of one or more media assets, wherein each of the video segments depicts an event that contributed to the user's fantasy sports score and includes at least one of the real-life athletes selected by the user; generating, using the control circuitry, a pre-arranged highlight compilation by compiling the plurality of video segments based on selections by the user in an edit menu of the fantasy sports contest application; storing the pre-arranged highlight compilation in a memory device for retrieval by the fantasy sports contest application; and generating for display to the user, using the control circuitry, a selectable option to access and play the pre-arranged highlight compilation created by the selections of the user in the edit menu of the fantasy sports contest application. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein generating the pre-arranged highlight compilation comprises compiling the plurality of video segments based on one or more themes. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the compiling comprises parsing the plurality of video segments. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising generating the pre-arranged highlight compilation for display, wherein generating the pre-arranged highlight compilation for display comprises communicating the pre-arranged highlight compilation to at least one of a recording device and a display device of the user. 5. The method of claim 1 further comprising: generating for display to the user information that identifies the pre-arranged highlight compilation. 6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving, from the user, a selection of one of the real-life athletes associated with the user's fantasy roster; and generating for display a selectable option to access a pre-arranged highlight compilation featuring the real life athlete. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: alerting the user when the pre-arranged highlight compilation becomes available. 8. A system for providing a highlight compilation to a user of a fantasy sports contest application, comprising: a memory configured to store fantasy sports contest information associated with the user in a database, wherein the fantasy sports contest information comprises a fantasy roster containing names of real-life athletes selected by the user; processing circuitry configured to: determine an identity of the user in a fantasy sports contest; access the fantasy sports contest information associated with the user from the database; identifying a plurality of video segments of one or more media assets, wherein each of the video segments depicts an event that contributed to the user's fantasy sports score and includes at least one of the real-life athletes selected by the user; generate a pre-arranged highlight compilation by compiling the plurality of video segments based on selections by the user in an edit menu of the fantasy sports contest application; store the pre-arranged highlight compilation in a memory device for retrieval by the fantasy sports contest application; and a display processor configured to: generate for display to the user a selectable option to access and play the pre-arranged highlight compilation created by the selections of the user in the edit menu of the fantasy sports contest application. 9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to: compile the plurality of video segments based on one or more themes. 10. The system of claim 9 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to compile the plurality of video segments by parsing the plurality of video segments. 11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the display processor is further configured to: communicate the pre-arranged highlight compilation to at least one of a recording device and a display device of the user. 12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the display processor is further configured to: generate for display to the user information that identifies the pre-arranged highlight compilation. 13. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to: receive, from the user, a selection of one of the real-life athletes associated with the user's fantasy roster; and generate for display a selectable option to access a pre-arranged highlight compilation featuring the real life athlete. 14. The system of claim 8 , wherein the processing circuitry is further configured to: alert the user when the pre-arranged highlight compilation becomes available. 15. A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising instructions thereon for providing a highlight compilation to a user of a fantasy sports contest application, the instructions comprising: instructions to determine an identity of the user in a fantasy sports contest; instructions to access fantasy sports contest information associated with the user from a database, wherein the fantasy sports contest information comprises a fantasy roster containing names of real-life athletes selected by the user; instructions to identify a plurality of video segments of one or more media assets, wherein each of the video segments depicts an event that contributed to the user's fantasy sports score and includes at least one of the real-life athletes selected by the user; instruction to generate a pre-arranged highlight compilation by compiling the plurality of video segments based on selections by the user in an edit menu of the fantasy sports contest application; instructions to store the pre-arranged highlight compilation in a memory device for retrieval by the fantasy sports contest application; and instructions to generate for display to the user a selectable option to access and play the pre-arranged highlight compilation created by the selections of the user in the edit menu of the fantasy sports contest application. 16. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , further comprising: instructions to compile the plurality of video segments based on one or more themes. 17. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the compiling comprises parsing the plurality of video segments. 18. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , further comprising instruction to communicate the pre-arranged highlight compilation to at least one of a recording device and a display device of the user. 19. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , further comprising: instructions to generate for display to the user information that identifies the pre-arranged highlight compilation. 20. The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 15 , further comprising: instructions to receive, from the user, a selection of one of the real-life athletes associated with the user's fantasy roster; and instructions to generate for display a selectable option to access a pre-arranged highlight compilation featuring the real life athlete.
