What is claimed is: 1. A method of forming a bag stand comprising the steps of: bending a first subpanel along a living hinge from a flattened arrangement, the first subpanel comprising a plurality of side panels and a connection mechanism, the connection mechanism of the first subpanel comprising a connection finger and a connection recess, the connection finger connected to a first side panel of the plurality of side panels and the connection recess defined in a portion of the first subpanel distal from the first side panel, the connection finger comprising a clearance portion and a clasp portion, and the connection recess comprising a clearance portion and a lock portion; connecting the first subpanel to a second subpanel by the connection mechanism; inserting a clasp portion of a connection finger of the second subpanel into the clearance portion of the connection recess of the first subpanel until the connection finger of the second subpanel passes fully into the clearance portion of the connection recess; and sliding the clasp portion of the connection finger of the second subpanel downward into the lock portion of the connection recess. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of side panels comprises a top end, a bottom end, two adjacent side ends, an inner surface, an outer surface, and a thickness defined from the inner surface to the outer surface, the first side panel of the plurality of side panels connected to a second side panel of the plurality of side panels, the living hinge being proximate to the outer surface of each side panel, a clearance void defined between a first side end of the first side panel and an adjacent side end of the second side panel, the clearance void distal from the outer surface of each side panel when the subpanel is in the flattened arrangement to allow room for the second side panel to rotate at the living hinge with respect to the first side panel. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein a second side end of the first side panel defines a matching slope angled with respect to an inner surface and an outer surface of the first side panel, the method further comprising aligning one of the side ends of the first subpanel flush with a one of an inner surface and an outer surface of the second subpanel when the bag stand is assembled. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising aligning the clearance portion of the connection finger of the second subpanel with the clearance portion of the connection recess. 5. The method of claim 4 , further comprising: raising the clearance portion of the clasp portion of the connection finger of the second subpanel into the clearance portion of the connection recess of the first subpanel until the connection finger of the second subpanel passes fully into the clearance portion of the connection recess; and sliding the clasp portion of the connection finger of the second subpanel downward into the lock portion of the connection recess. 6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising removing the connection finger of the second subpanel from the connection recess by raising the clearance portion of the connection finger of the second subpanel above the lock portion of the connection recess. 7. A method of forming a bag stand comprising the steps of: obtaining a first subpanel in a flattened arrangement, the first subpanel comprising a plurality of side panels and a connection mechanism comprising a connection finger and a connection recess, a first side panel of the plurality of side panels of the first subpanel connected by a living hinge to a second side panel of the plurality of side panels of the first subpanel; bending the first subpanel along the living hinge; and connecting the first subpanel to a second subpanel by the connection mechanism, wherein the connection finger is disposed at a first end of the first subpanel, and the connection recess is defined proximate a second end of the first subpanel, the second end distal from the first end, wherein the first end and the second of the first subpanel each define a matching slope configured to align with a surface of the second subpanel when connected. 8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the connection mechanism of the first subpanel is a first connection mechanism, the connection finger of the first subpanel is a first connection finger, and the connection recess of the first subpanel is a first connection recess, the second subpanel comprising a second connection mechanism which comprises a second connection finger and a second connection recess. 9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the first connection finger is connected to the second connection recess. 10. The method of claim 7 , wherein connecting the first subpanel to the second subpanel forms a hollow structure configured to hold a refuse bag. 11. The method of claim 7 , wherein the living hinge is disposed between a pair of adjacent side panels of the plurality of side panels. 12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the living hinge is disposed on an outer surface of the first subpanel, and an inner surface of the first subpanel defines a clearance void opposite from the living hinge. 13. A method of forming a bag stand comprising the steps of: bending a first subpanel along a living hinge from a flattened arrangement, the first subpanel comprising a plurality of side panels and a connection mechanism, each of the plurality of side panels comprising a top end, a bottom end, two adjacent side ends, an inner surface, an outer surface, and a thickness defined from the inner surface to the outer surface, a first side panel of the plurality of side panels connected to a second side panel of the plurality of side panels, the living hinge being proximate to the outer surface of each side panel, a clearance void defined between a first side end of the first side panel and an adjacent side end of the second side panel, the clearance void distal from the outer surface of each side panel when the subpanel is in the flattened arrangement to allow room for the second side panel to rotate at the living hinge with respect to the first side panel; connecting the first subpanel to a second subpanel by the connection mechanism, a second side end of the first side panel defining a matching slope angled with respect to an inner surface and an outer surface of the first side panel; and aligning a one of the side ends of the first subpanel flush with a one of an inner surface and an outer surface of the second subpanel when the bag stand is assembled. 14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the connection mechanism of the first subpanel comprises a connection finger and a connection recess, the connection finger connected to the first side panel and the connection recess defined in a portion of the first subpanel distal from the first side panel, the connection finger including a clearance portion and a clasp portion and the connection recess including a clearance portion and a lock portion. 15. The method of claim 14 , further comprising: inserting a clasp portion of a connection finger of the second subpanel into the clearance portion of the connection recess of the first subpanel until the connection finger passes fully into the clearance portion of the connection recess; and sliding the clasp portion of the connection finger of the second subpanel downward into the lock portion of the connection recess. 16. The method of claim 15 , further comprising aligning the clearance portion of the connection finger of the second subpanel with the clearance portion of the connection recess. 17. The method of claim
