Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A scaffolding assembly configured for use with an assembly table is provided. In one embodiment, the scaffolding assembly can include an inner scaffolding and an outer scaffolding, wherein the inner scaffolding and the outer scaffolding each include: a plurality of main posts having a lower end and an upper end; an extendible arm connected to each of the main posts, wherein the extendible arm is configured to extend substantially perpendicular from the main post; and a tertiary scaffolding support connected to the extendible arm and the main post, the tertiary support configured to transfer at least some of the force from the extendible arm to the main post, wherein the scaffolding assembly is configured to attach to the assembly table, such that the scaffolding assembly receives support from the assembly table.

We claim: 1. A scaffolding assembly comprising: an assembly table configured to be collapsible to allow for reduced footprint during transportation, the assembly table comprising a central support base; a plurality of arms attached to the central support base; a secondary support member attached to each arm for providing support for and giving height to the assembly table when in use; and a centering guide attached to each arm, the centering guide configured to releasably receive a bottom portion of a course; an inner scaffolding; and an outer scaffolding, wherein the inner scaffolding and the outer scaffolding each comprise: a plurality of main posts having a lower end and an upper end; an extendible arm connected with and extending away from the upper end of each of the main posts, wherein each extendible arm is configured to extend between a first position and a second position that are substantially perpendicular from each main post; a tertiary scaffolding support connected to each extendible arm and each main post, the plurality of tertiary supports being configured to transfer some force from the plurality of extendible arms to the plurality of main posts; and a secondary post connected to each tertiary scaffolding support and extending upwards above each extendible arm, wherein the inner scaffolding and the outer scaffolding are attached to the assembly table, such that the assembly table provides support for the inner scaffolding and the outer scaffolding. 2. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a gap exists between ends of the extendible arms when the extendible arms of the inner scaffolding and the extendible arms of the outer scaffolding are fully extended, wherein the gap is sufficiently large such that a course can be inserted or removed within the gap without touching the scaffolding assembly. 3. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the extendible arms are configured to lock in at various extension lengths between the first position and the second position. 4. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 1 further comprising a secondary scaffolding support connected with the lower end of each of the main posts and one of the secondary support members of the assembly table such that the inner scaffolding and outer scaffolding receive structural support from the assembly table. 5. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising links disposed on each of the secondary posts, the links configured to secure handrails to the plurality of secondary posts. 6. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the main posts are secured to the floor. 7. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising a walkway supported by the extendible arms. 8. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the walkway comprises a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion is secured to the extendible arms and the second portion is supported by the extendible arms. 9. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a height of the main posts is below a threshold level, such that the scaffolding assembly is configured to allow for a course to be moved in and out of the scaffolding assembly while the scaffolding assembly is assembled. 10. A scaffolding assembly comprising: a central support base; a plurality of arm supports attached to the central support base; a secondary support member attached to each arm support; an inner scaffolding and an outer scaffolding each comprising: a plurality of main posts having a lower end and an upper end; an extendible arm connected to each main post, wherein each extendible arm is configured to extend away from each main post, such that the plurality of extendible arms is configured to support a walkway; and a tertiary scaffolding support connected to each extendible arm and each main post, wherein the plurality of tertiary supports is configured to transfer at least some force from the plurality of extendible arms to the plurality of main posts, wherein the inner scaffolding and the outer scaffolding are attached to each secondary support member using a secondary scaffolding support, such that each of the secondary support members provide structural support for the inner scaffolding and the outer scaffolding. 11. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein each arm support extends radially outward from the central support base. 12. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein each extendible arm of the outer scaffolding extends radially inward from each main post of the outer scaffolding. 13. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the extendible aim is configured to move between a first position and a second position along a substantially horizontal plane. 14. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the secondary scaffolding support is connected with the lower end of each of the main posts and the secondary support member. 15. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , further comprising a secondary post connected to the tertiary support and extending upwards above the extendible arm. 16. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the scaffolding assembly is configured to accommodate courses of varying diameters. 17. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the scaffolding assembly is configured such that when the extendible arms of the inner scaffolding and the extendible arms of the outer scaffolding are adjusted, a gap exists between ends of the extendible arms, wherein the gap is sufficiently large such that a course can be inserted or removed within the gap without touching the scaffolding assembly. 18. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the extendible arms are configured to lock in at various extension lengths such that the scaffolding assembly can accommodate courses of various diameters. 19. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the secondary scaffolding support is configured to adjust to various extension lengths such that the scaffolding assembly can accommodate courses of various diameters. 20. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 15 , further comprising links disposed on each of the secondary posts, the links configured to secure handrails to the plurality of second posts. 21. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein a height of the main posts is below a threshold level, such that the scaffolding assembly is configured to allow for a course to be moved in and out of the scaffolding assembly while the scaffolding assembly is assembled. 22. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , further comprising a centering guide attached to each arm support, each centering guide configured to receive a bottom portion of a partial shell, each centering guide located at a predetermined location of its own arm support. 23. The scaffolding assembly as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the scaffolding assembly is configured to transfer a force applied to each extendible arm of the outer scaffolding away from each extendible arm of the inner scaffolding. 24. A scaffolding assembly comprising: an assembly table; an inner scaffolding and an outer scaffolding, wherein the inner scaffolding and the outer scaffolding each comprise: a plurality of main posts having a lower end and an upper end; an extendible arm
