A rolling bearing comprising an outer ring, an inner ring, at least one row of rolling elements that are disposed radially between the rings, at least one seal forming a first sealing component that is fixed to one of the rings and engages with the other ring, and at least one flange forming a second sealing component that is fixed to the other ring and is offset axially with respect to the seal on the outer side of the bearing. At least one of the first and second sealing components comprises at least two annular ribs, the other sealing component being mounted axially in contact therewith. At least one closed annular space is delimited by the ribs and by the other sealing component. At least one lubricant is disposed inside the space.

What is claimed is: 1. A rolling bearing comprising: an outer ring; an inner ring; at least one row of rolling elements that is disposed radially between the rings; at least one seal forming a first sealing element that is fixed to one of the rings and engages with the other ring; at least one flange forming a second sealing element that is fixed to the other ring and is offset axially with respect to the seal on the outer side of the bearing, wherein at least one of the first sealing element and second sealing element comprises at least two annular ribs, wherein the other sealing element is mounted axially in contact therewith, wherein at least one closed annular space is delimited by the ribs and by the other sealing element; and at least one lubricant disposed inside the at least one closed annular space. 2. The rolling bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the flange is elastically deformable at least in part in the axial direction, wherein the flange is deformed axially by the axial contact with the seal. 3. The rolling bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the thickness of each rib decreases in the direction of its free end which is in axial contact with the other sealing element. 4. The rolling bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the ribs extend axially. 5. The rolling bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the ribs are identical to one another. 6. The rolling bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the ribs are in one piece with the sealing elements. 7. The rolling bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the ribs are formed on an external side face of the seal. 8. The rolling bearing according to claim 7 , the seal further comprising at least one sealing gasket delimiting the external side face. 9. The rolling bearing according to claim 1 , wherein the ribs are formed on an internal side face of the flange. 10. The rolling bearing according to claim 1 , the flange further comprising a portion bearing on the seal which has a convex shape axially on the side of the seal.
