Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The present invention provides a dental material, a dental material composition and a dental restorative material that exhibit small polymerization shrinkage particularly during curing and are producible at low cost on the industrial scale. The dental material of the present invention includes a specific urethane (meth)acrylic compound represented by Formula (1) described below.

What is claimed is: 1. A dental material which comprises a compound represented by Formula (1): wherein in Formula (1), R 1 and R 2 each independently indicate a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, A is a divalent organic group selected from the group consisting of structures (a), (e) and (h) described below, X 1 and X 2 each indicate a divalent organic group, and at least one of X 1 and X 2 is a divalent organic group selected from the group consisting of structures (i) to (m) described below with the proviso that the compound is not a compound in which A is the structure (a), R 1 and R 2 are both methyl groups and X 1 and X 2 are both the structures (i) in which R 3 is a phenyl group: wherein with respect to the organic groups (a), (e), (h) and (i) to (m), R 3 is an aryl group or a cycloalkyl group which may have a substituent, R 4 , R 5 , R 6 and R 7 each independently indicate a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and R 8 is an alkyl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms. 2. The dental material according to claim 1 , which includes a compound represented by Formula (1) in which the divalent organic group A is the structure (a). 3. The dental material according to claim 1 , which includes a compound represented by Formula (1) in which at least one of X 1 and X 2 is a divalent organic group selected from the group consisting of the structures (i), (j), (l) and (m). 4. The dental material according to claim 1 , which includes a compound represented by Formula (1) in which one of X 1 and X 2 is a divalent organic group selected from the group consisting of the structures (i), (j) and (m). 5. The dental material according to claim 1 , which includes a compound represented by Formula (1) in which the group A is any of the structures (a) and (e), X 1 and X 2 are both the structures (i), and R 1 and R 2 are both hydrogen atoms. 6. The dental material according to claim 1 , which includes at least one compound selected from compounds represented by Formulae (2) to (5) below: 7. A dental material composition which comprises the dental material according to claim 1 , a polymerization initiator (B) and a filler (C). 8. The dental material composition according to claim 7 , further comprising a polymerizable monomer (D). 9. The dental material composition according to claim 8 , wherein the polymerizable monomer (D) is represented by Formula 6: wherein in Formula (6), R each independently indicate a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, m and n each indicate an integer of 0 to 10, and m+n=0 to 10. 10. The dental material composition according to claim 9 , wherein in Formula (6), R each indicate a hydrogen atom, m and n each indicate an integer of 0 to 6, and m+n=2 to 6. 11. A dental restorative material which comprises the dental material according to claim 1 , a photopolymerization initiator (B) and a filler (C). 12. The dental restorative material according to claim 11 , further comprising a polymerizable monomer (D). 13. The dental restorative material according to claim 12 , wherein the polymerizable monomer (D) is represented by Formula (6): wherein in Formula (6), R each independently indicate a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, m and n each indicate an integer of 0 to 10, and m+n=0 to 10. 14. The dental material composition according to claim 13 , wherein in Formula (6), R each indicate a hydrogen atom, m and n each indicate an integer of 0 to 6, and m+n=2 to 6. 15. A cured product obtained by curing the dental material according to claim 1 . 16. The dental material according to claim 1 , which includes the compound represented by Formula (4) below:
