Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Disclosed is a panel of biomarkers associated with angiogenesis, and the use of such biomarkers (genes, proteins, homologues and analogs thereof) to regulate angiogenesis. Methods for identifying compounds useful for regulating angiogenesis and conditions related thereto are disclosed.

First claim

Opening claim text (preview).

What is claimed is: 1. A method to inhibit angiogenesis in tumor cells produced from fibrosarcoma in a patient in need thereof, comprising increasing the expression or biological activity of Lumican in the tumor cells, wherein the step increasing comprises contacting the tumor cells with a recombinant nucleic acid molecule encoding Lumican or a homologue thereof to increase expression of Lumican in the tumor cells. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the step of increasing comprises contacting the tumor cells with a recombinant nucleic acid molecule encoding Lumican.
