A fiber optic enclosure assembly is disclosed herein. The assembly includes a fiber optic enclosure defining connection locations, a fiber optic cable extending from the connection locations of the fiber optic enclosure, and a covering defining a first axial end and a second axial end, the covering defining a throughhole extending from the first axial end to the second axial end, the throughhole extending along a central longitudinal axis of the covering, the covering defining a first cavity for receiving the fiber optic enclosure. A port extends from the first cavity to an outer surface of the covering, wherein the fiber optic cable extending from the connection locations can extend from the first cavity to the outer surface of the covering for wrapping around the outer surface of the covering.

What is claimed is: 1. A fiber optic enclosure assembly comprising: a cable reel comprising: first and second, opposite, flanges with a cable management recess positioned therebetween, the first and second flanges each defining axial ends that overlap the cable management recess of the cable reel, the first flange having an outer surface, opposite the cable management recess; the first flange having an outer perimeter; and the cable reel defining a first inner cavity located at least partially in the cable management recess, the first inner cavity being accessible through an access opening defined by the outer surface of the first flange, and a port that extends from the first inner cavity to the outer perimeter of the first flange; the port comprising an open recess in the first flange; the port being accessible through the outer surface of the first flange; and a fiber optic component comprising: an enclosure removably positioned in the first inner cavity of the first flange; the enclosure including: a base and a front cover connected to the base such that the base and the front cover cooperate to enclose an interior region of the enclosure; and a fiber optic cable having an end that is secured to the enclosure, the fiber optic cable including: a first portion extending through the port to the outer perimeter of the first flange; and a second portion wrapped around the cable management recess. 2. A fiber optic enclosure assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the enclosure of the fiber optic component defines connection locations and the fiber optic cable extending from the connection locations of the enclosure of the fiber optic component defines a connectorized end connected to fiber optic adapters. 3. A fiber optic enclosure assembly according to claim 2 , wherein the connection locations are defined by the fiber optic adapters. 4. A fiber optic enclosure assembly according to claim 2 , wherein the enclosure of the fiber optic component defines a rotatable spool, the rotatable spool being configured to store at least a portion of the fiber optic cable extending from the connection locations to the cable management recess. 5. A fiber optic enclosure assembly according to claim 4 , wherein the rotatable spool is located within the interior region of the enclosure of the fiber optic component, the enclosure of the fiber optic component including a port that communicates with the port of the cable reel in extending the fiber optic cable from the connections locations to the cable management recess. 6. A fiber optic enclosure assembly according to claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the cable reel is formed from foam material. 7. A fiber optic enclosure assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the first inner cavity is closed off by a first removable lid. 8. A fiber optic enclosure assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the cable reel defines a throughhole extending from the first flange to the second flange, the throughhole extending along a central longitudinal axis of the cable reel. 9. A fiber optic enclosure assembly according to claim 8 , wherein the second flange of the cable reel defines a second inner cavity for receiving another fiber optic enclosure, the first and second inner cavities being located on opposite sides of the throughhole when viewed at an axial end view of the cable reel. 10. A cable reel for packaging a fiber optic component for storage or shipment, the cable reel comprising: first and second, opposite, flanges; and a cable management recess positioned between the first and second flanges, the first and second flanges each defining axial ends that overlap the cable management recess of the cable reel, the first flange having an outer surface opposite the cable management recess; the first flange having an outer perimeter; and, the cable reel defining a first inner fiber optic enclosure receiving cavity located at least partially in the cable management recess, the first inner fiber optic enclosure receiving cavity being accessible through an access opening defined by the outer surface of the first flange, and a cable port that extends from the first inner fiber optic enclosure receiving cavity to the outer perimeter of the first flange; the cable port comprising an open recess in the first flange; and the cable port being accessible through the outer surface of the first flange. 11. A cable reel according to claim 10 , wherein the cable reel defines a throughhole extending from the first flange to the second flange, the throughhole extending along a central longitudinal axis of the cable reel. 12. A cable reel according to claim 11 , wherein the second flange of the cable reel defines a second inner fiber optic enclosure receiving cavity, the first and second inner fiber optic enclosure receiving cavities being located on opposite sides of the throughhole when viewed at an axial end view of the cable reel. 13. A cable reel according to claim 10 , wherein at least a portion of the cable reel is formed from foam material. 14. A cable reel according to claim 10 , wherein the first inner fiber optic enclosure receiving cavity is closed off by a first removable lid. 15. A fiber optic assembly comprising: a cable spool including: first and second flanges each defining axial ends having outwardly facing axial end surfaces, the first and second flanges defining a cable storage recess therebetween; and a core portion positioned between the first and second flanges, the core portion and the first and second flanges being aligned along a central longitudinal axis, the axial ends of the first and second flanges axially overlapping the core portion of the cable spool; the cable spool defining a storage cavity located at least partially in the core portion of the cable spool, the storage cavity being accessible through an opening defined by the outwardly facing axial end surface of the first flange; a termination module including a plurality of fiber optic adapters carried with the cable spool, the plurality of fiber optic adapters each including ports; and a fiber optic cable having a first end and a second end, the first end of the fiber optic cable being routed to the termination module at which the fiber optic cable is separated into individual optical fibers, each one of the individual optical fibers having connectorized ends plugged into a respective one of the ports of the plurality of fiber optic adapters; wherein the fiber optic cable is wrapped around the core portion, and wherein the first and second flanges, the core portion, and the storage cavity are configured to rotate together about the central longitudinal axis when the fiber optic cable is paid out from the core portion. 16.
