The present invention is directed to an electrical wiring device that includes a circuit interrupter assembly coupled to a solenoid actuator and configured to move along an assembly axis in a direction normal to a major surface of the electrical isolation member to provide electrical continuity between the plurality of line terminals, the plurality of load terminals and the plurality of receptacle contact structures in a reset state and to interrupt the electrical continuity to effect a tripped state. The circuit interrupter assembly including at least one portion configured to pivot relative to the assembly axis to effect the reset state or the tripped state.

What is claimed: 1. An electrical wiring device comprising: a housing including a front cover having a front major surface and a back body having a back major surface substantially parallel to the front major surface, the back body having a printed circuit board (PCB) subassembly disposed therein; a plurality of terminals including a plurality line terminals, a plurality of feed-through load terminals mounted on the PCB, and a plurality of receptacle load terminals at least partially disposed in the housing; a plurality of stationary electrical contacts including a first set of stationary contacts and a second set of stationary contacts, the first set being electrically connected to the plurality of line terminals or the plurality of feed-through load terminals, the second set being electrically connected to the plurality of receptacle load terminals; a circuit interrupting assembly disposed inside the housing, the circuit interrupting assembly including a pair of movable contact sub-assemblies, each movable contact sub-assembly of the pair of movable contact sub-assemblies including a pair of movable contacts configured to mate with a first contact of the first set and a second contact of the second set, each movable contact sub-assembly including a pivoting portion configured to allow the movable contact sub-assembly to pivot until the pair of movable contacts mate with the first contact and the second contact to thus electrically connect the plurality of line terminals, the plurality of feed-through load terminals and the plurality of receptacle load terminals in a reset state, the pair of movable contacts being disengaged from the respective stationary electrical contacts to decouple the plurality of line terminals, the plurality of feed-through load terminals and the plurality of receptacle load terminals in a tripped state; a pair of pliable cable elements attached to respective ones of the pair of movable contact sub-assemblies, each pliable cable element of the pair of pliable cable elements being electrically connected to one of the feed-through load terminals or one of the line terminals, the plurality of pliable cable elements not assuming a predetermined shape in either the reset state or the tripped state; a reset assembly including a user-accessible button accessible via the front major surface and responsive to a user stimulus, the user-accessible button being mechanically coupled to the circuit interrupting assembly and configured to effect the reset state in response to the user stimulus; and a protective electrical assembly substantially disposed inside the housing, the protective electrical assembly including a sensor assembly coupled between the plurality of line terminals and a fault detection circuit, the fault detection circuit being configured to drive a solenoid assembly coupled to the circuit interrupting assembly. 2. The device of claim 1 , wherein the pair of pliable cable elements are configured to be routed through a portion of the sensor assembly. 3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the reset assembly is configured to provide a predetermined electrical signal in response to the user stimulus, the reset assembly being configured to not effect the reset state if the predetermined electrical signal is not provided in response to the user stimulus. 4. The device of claim 1 , wherein the circuit interrupter assembly includes a set of auxiliary contacts. 5. The device of claim 1 , wherein the reset assembly includes an electrical switch coupled to the user-accessible button, the electrical switch being closed in response to the user stimulus so that a predetermined electrical signal is provided if the plurality line terminals are coupled to a source of AC power. 6. The device of claim 5 , wherein the electrical switch is coupled to the sensor assembly, the reset state not being effected if the sensor assembly fails to provide a sensor signal substantially corresponding to the predetermined electrical signal. 7. The device of claim 6 , the reset state not being effected if a component of the protective electrical assembly fails to respond to the sensor signal. 8. The device of claim 7 , wherein the protective electrical assembly includes an end-of-life power denial mechanism or an end-of-life indicator, the end-of-life power denial mechanism being configured to prevent the reset state from being effected when the component of the protective electrical assembly fails to respond to the sensor signal, and wherein the end-of-life indicator is configured to provide an end-of-life indication when the component of the protective electrical assembly fails to respond to the sensor signal. 9. The device of claim 1 , wherein the protective electrical assembly further comprises an end of life detection circuit that automatically generates a test signal to periodically test the device for at least one end of life condition, the end of life detection circuit providing a trip signal to the solenoid assembly to trip the circuit interrupting assembly when the at least one end of life condition is detected. 10. The device of claim 1 , wherein the solenoid assembly comprises a bobbin winding, the sensor assembly and the bobbin winding being substantially disposed between one end of the housing and a plane normal to the front major surface that passes through the user-accessible button. 11. The device of claim 1 , wherein the solenoid assembly is at least partially mounted to the PCB. 12. The device of claim 1 , wherein the user-accessible button is coupled to a test circuit. 13. An electrical wiring device comprising: a housing including a front cover having a front major surface, the front surface including a single user-accessible button disposed therein, the user-accessible button being responsive to a user stimulus, and a back body having a back major surface substantially parallel to the front major surface, the back body having a printed circuit board (PCB) subassembly disposed therein; a plurality of terminals including a plurality line terminals, a plurality of feed-through load terminals mounted on the PCB, and a plurality of receptacle load terminals at least partially disposed in the housing; a set of stationary electrical contacts including a first stationary contact and a second stationary contact, the first contact being electrically connected to a line terminal of the plurality of line terminals or a feed-through load terminal of the plurality of feed-through load terminals, the second contact being electrically connected to a receptacle load terminal of the plurality of receptacle load terminals; a circuit interrupting assembly disposed inside the housing, the circuit interrupting assembly including a movable contact sub-assembly having a set of movable contacts configured to mate with the set of stationary electrical contacts, the movable contact sub-assembly including a pivoting portion configured to allow the movable contact sub-assembly to pivot until the set of movable contacts mates with the set of stationary electrical contacts to electrically connect the line terminal or the feed-through load terminal and the receptacle load terminal in a reset state, the set of movable contacts being disengaged from the respective stationary electrical contacts in a tripped state; at least one pliable cable element attached to the movable contact sub-assembly, the at least one pliable cable element being electrically connected to the feed-through load terminal or the line terminal, the at least one pliable cable element not assuming a predetermined shape in either the reset state or the tripped state; a reset assembly coupled to the user-accessible bu
