Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems and methods are presented for modifying image parameters of an image to be captured by an image capturing device based on input from a wearable computing device. In some embodiments, the system receives image data, determines an image parameter based on the image data, and receives data from a wearable computing device positioned proximate to a subject of the image. The system modifies the image parameter based on the data received from the wearable computing device and captures the image data using the modified image parameter.

What is claimed is: 1. A method, comprising: receiving, by an image capture device, image data comprising a subject; determining an image parameter based on the image data; determining an image capture mode of the image capture device based on the image data; receiving data from a wearable computing device positioned proximate to the subject; modifying the image parameter, to form a modified image parameter, based on the data received from the wearable computing device; modifying the image capture mode based on the data received from the wearable computing device; and capturing the image data using the modified image parameter. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the image parameter is a focus value indicative of the focus on the subject and wherein receiving data from a wearable computing device comprises determining a proximity of the wearable computing device to the image capture device and wherein modifying the image parameter further comprises modifying the focus value based on the proximity of the wearable computing device. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving data from the wearable computing device comprises receiving sensor data generated by one or more sensor of the wearable computing device. 4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the one or more sensor is chosen from a group consisting of a light sensor, a position sensor, and a clock. 5. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving data from a sensor of the image capture device, and wherein modifying the image parameter is based on a combination of the data received from the wearable computing device and the data received from the sensor of the image capture device. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the image capture mode is determined using the image parameter to select a first image capture mode from a predetermined set of image capture modes. 7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the image capture mode is modified by selecting a second image capture mode from the predetermined set of image capture modes based on the data received from the wearable computing device. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the image capture mode is modified by changing one or more parameters of the image capture mode based on the data received from the wearable computing device. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein a first portion of the data received from the wearable computing device is sensor data and a second portion of the data received from the wearable computing device is control data indicative of user input into the wearable computing device. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the image parameter is modified based on the control data of the user input. 11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the image parameter corresponds to a camera parameter. 12. The method of claim 1 , wherein the image data comprises a first subject and a second subject, with the wearable computing device positioned proximate to the first subject, and wherein the image parameter is modified to prioritize the first subject proximate to the wearable computing device within the image data. 13. A system, comprising: a receiver module configured to receive image data comprising a subject and receiving data from a wearable computing device positioned proximate to the subject; a determination module configured to determine an image parameter and an image capture mode based on the image data; a modification module configured to generate a modified image parameter and a modified image capture mode, by modifying the image parameter being based on the data received from the wearable computing device, and modifying the image capture mode based on the data received from the wearable computing device; and a capture module configured to capture the image data using the modified image parameter. 14. The system of claim 13 , wherein the image parameter is a focus value associated with the subject, and wherein the determination module is further configured to determine a proximity of the wearable computing device to an image capture device associated with the determination module, and the modification module is further configured to modify the focus value based on the proximity of the wearable computing device. 15. The system of claim 13 , wherein the image capture mode is determined using the image parameter to select a first image capture mode from a predetermined set of image capture modes. 16. The system of claim 15 , wherein the modification module modifies the first image capture mode by selecting a second image capture mode from the predetermined set of image capture modes based on the data received from the wearable computing device. 17. The system of claim 13 , wherein the modification module is configured to modify the image capture mode by changing one or more parameters of the image capture mode based on the data received from the wearable computing device. 18. A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium comprising computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a processor of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising: receiving, by an image capture device, image data comprising a subject; determining an image parameter based on the image data; determining an image capture mode of the image capture device based on the image data; receiving data from a wearable computing device positioned proximate to the subject; modifying the image parameter, to form a modified image parameter, based on the data received from the wearable computing device; modifying the image capture mode based on the data received from the wearable computing device; and capturing the image data using the modified image parameter.
