Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Saving database storage space includes receiving, using a processor, one or more properties associated with a newly released commodity input at a front-end server; determining whether the one or more properties of the newly released commodity match a standard property unit (SPU), wherein the SPU includes a plurality of properties common to at least two commodities of which data is stored at a back-end server; and in the event that the one or more properties of the newly released commodity match the SPU, storing data associated with binding the newly released commodity with the matching SPU at the back-end server.

What is claimed is: 1. A system, comprising: one or more processors configured to: determine a plurality of properties common to at least two products belonging to a back-end category, wherein to determine the plurality of properties comprises to perform cluster analysis on properties associated with products stored in a database; generate a first property unit including at least the plurality of properties; generate a sequence document based at least on the first property unit, wherein the sequence document includes data associated with products bound to the first property unit, the back-end category, and one or more other associated property units; save data associating the first property unit with the back-end category to a data storage; determine one or more common properties common to the first property unit and a second property unit; determine a coarse-grained property unit based at least in part on the one or more common properties from the first property unit and the second property unit; and save data associating the coarse-grained property unit with the first property unit and the second property unit; and one or more memories coupled to the one or more processors and configured to provide instructions to the one or more processors. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein to determine the plurality of properties common to the at least two products belonging to the back-end category includes to: search for and locate key properties of a plurality of products in the database; and determine common properties of the plurality of products based at least in part on the key properties of the plurality of products. 3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first property unit includes one or more of the following: a description, one or more pictures, and a price. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to send the sequence document to a front-end server. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to: receive one or more properties associated with a newly released product input at a front-end server; determine whether the one or more properties of the newly released product match the first property unit; and in the event that the one or more properties of the newly released product match the first property unit, establish a corresponding relationship between the first property unit and the newly released product at the back-end category. 6. The system of claim 5 , wherein to determine whether the one or more properties of the newly released product match the first property unit includes to compare the one or more properties associated with the newly released product input at the front-end server to the sequence document associated with the first property unit. 7. The system of claim 5 , wherein a property associated with the newly released product input at the front-end server that does not match the first property unit is stored as a special property associated with the newly released product. 8. The system of claim 1 , wherein corresponding relationships have been established between the at least two products and the first property unit. 9. A method, comprising: determining, using one or more processors, a plurality of properties common to at least two products belonging to a back-end category, wherein determining the plurality of properties comprises performing cluster analysis on properties associated with products stored in a database; generating a first property unit including at least the plurality of properties; generating a sequence document based at least on the first property unit, wherein the sequence document includes data associated with products bound to the first property unit, the back-end category, and one or more other associated property units; saving data associating the first property unit with the back-end category to a data storage; determining one or more common properties common to the first property unit and a second property unit; determining a coarse-grained property unit based at least in part on the one or more common properties from the first property unit and the second property unit; and saving data associating the coarse-grained property unit with the first property unit and the second property unit. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein determining the plurality of properties common to the at least two products belonging to the back-end category includes: searching for and locating key properties of a plurality of products in the database; and determining common properties of the plurality of products based at least in part on the key properties of the plurality of products. 11. The method of claim 9 , wherein the first property unit includes one or more of the following: a description, one or more pictures, and a price. 12. The method of claim 9 , further comprising sending the sequence document to a front-end server. 13. The method of claim 9 , further comprising: receiving one or more properties associated with a newly released product input at a front-end server; determining whether the one or more properties of the newly released product match the first property unit; and in the event that the one or more properties of the newly released product match the first property unit, establishing a corresponding relationship between the first property unit and the newly released product at the back-end category. 14. The method of claim 13 , wherein determining whether the one or more properties of the newly released product match the first property unit includes comparing the one or more properties associated with the newly released product input at the front-end server to the sequence document associated with the first property unit. 15. The method of claim 13 , wherein a property associated with the newly released product input at the front-end server that does not match the first property unit is stored as a special property associated with the newly released product. 16. The method of claim 9 , wherein corresponding relationships have been established between the at least two products and the first property unit. 17. A computer program product, the computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising computer instructions for: determining a plurality of properties common to at least two products belonging to a back-end category, wherein determining the plurality of properties comprises performing cluster analysis on properties associated with products stored in a database; generating a first property unit including at least the plurality of properties; generating a sequence document based at least on the first property unit, wherein the sequence document includes data associated with products bound to the first property unit, the back-end category, and one or more other associated property units; saving data associating the first property unit with the back-end category to a data storage; determining one or more common properties common to the first property unit and a second property unit; determining a coarse-grained property unit based at least in part on the one or more common properties from the first property unit and the second property unit; and saving data associating the coarse-grained property unit with the first property unit and the second property unit.
