Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Enabling associations between cloud services in a computer network cloud infrastructure system is described. Cloud services can include infrastructure as a service (IAAS) storage and processing services, platform as a service (PAAS) database and Java services, and software as a service (SAAS) customer resource management services. Associations between the services can include automatically sharing security certificate-based keys and tokens or otherwise sharing data. Upon subscribing to a cloud system through an automated system, a user is prompted to select allowable associations between the selected services. The services are then provisioned and the user-selected associations are enabled.

That which is claimed is: 1. A method implemented by a cloud computing infrastructure system comprising one or more computing devices, the cloud computing infrastructure system providing one or more services to users via a communication network, the method comprising: providing, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, via the communication network, different services to a computing device associated with a user subscribed to the services provided by the cloud computing infrastructure system; displaying, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, a graphical user interface that is interactive to select a set of services from the services for association, the association enabling interaction of sharing data amongst the services in the set of services; receiving, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, via the graphical user interface, input corresponding to a selection of a first service in the set of services and a second service in the set of services for a first association between the first service and the second service, wherein the first service has a first service type, wherein the second service has a second service type that is different from the first service type, and wherein the first association is for a first interaction between the first service and the second service, the first interaction including sharing one or more variables between the first service and the second service; determining, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, that the first association between the first service and the second service is allowable for the first interaction between the first service and the second service in the cloud computing infrastructure system; enabling, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, the first interaction between the first service and the second service for the first association based on determining that the first association between the first service and the second service is allowable; and configuring, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, the first interaction between the first service and the second service, wherein configuring the first interaction includes adjusting operation of the first service with the second service for sharing the one or more variables. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: provisioning, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, the first service and the second service in the cloud computing infrastructure system. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the input is received before provisioning the first service and the second service, and wherein enabling the first interaction is performed in conjunction with provisioning the first service and the second service. 4. The method of claim 2 , wherein the input is received during or after provisioning the first service and the second service, and wherein enabling the first interaction is performed after provisioning the first service and the second service. 5. The method of claim 2 , wherein provisioning the first service and the second service includes choosing one or more Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or hardware pools for the user. 6. The method of claim 2 , wherein enabling the first interaction occurs automatically in response to provisioning the first service and the second service. 7. The method of claim 2 , wherein provisioning of the first service and the second service occurs asynchronously. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first association is based on an identity domain. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the cloud computing infrastructure system includes a multi-tenant environment. 10. The method of claim 1 wherein the first service includes Java service, and wherein the second service includes a customer resource management (CRM) service or a human capital management (HCM) services. 11. The method of claim 1 , wherein one of the services includes a web center content (WCC) service. 12. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first service includes a Java service, and wherein the second service includes a hosted database service. 13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: pre-provisioning the first service and the second service before the receiving the input. 14. The method of claim 1 , wherein determining that the first association between the first service and the second service is allowable for the first interaction in the cloud computing infrastructure system includes determining that the first service and the second service corresponding to the first association are configured to interact with each other for the first interaction of the first association. 15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the first service uses first data associated with a first variable, and wherein the first interaction for the first association enables sharing the first data with the second service. 16. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second service uses second data associated with a second variable, and wherein the first interaction for the first association includes sharing the second data with the first service. 17. The method of claim 1 , wherein the graphical user interface displays service information about the services provided by the cloud infrastructure system and indicates a set of allowable associations between the services, and wherein each allowable association in the set of allowable associations corresponds to a different association for interaction between two or more of the services. 18. The method of claim 1 , denying the first interaction between the first service and the second service based on determining that the first association between the first service and the second service is not allowable. 19. A non-transitory machine-readable tangible medium embodying information indicative of instructions for causing one or more machines to perform operations comprising: providing, by a cloud computing infrastructure system that comprises one or more computing devices and that provides one or more services to users via a communication network, different services to a computing device associated with a user subscribed to the services provided by the cloud computing infrastructure system; displaying, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, a graphical user interface that is interactive to select a set of services from the services for association, the association enabling interaction of sharing data amongst the services in the set of services; receiving, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, via the graphical user interface, input corresponding to a selection of a first service in the set of services and a second service in the set of services for a first association between the first service and the second service, wherein the first service has a first service type, wherein the second service has a second service type that is different from the first service type, and wherein the first association is for a first interaction between the first service and the second service, the first interaction including sharing one or more variables between the first service and the second service; determining, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, that the first association between the first service and the second service is allowable for the first interaction between the first service and the second service in the cloud computing infrastructure system; enabling, by the cloud computing infrastructure system, the first interaction between the first service and the second service for the first association based on determining that the first association between the first service and
