What is claimed is: 1. A mobile terminal, comprising: a body; a touchscreen provided to a front and extending to side of the body and configured to display content; and a controller configured to: detect one side of the body comes into contact with one side of an external terminal, display a first area on the touchscreen corresponding to a contact area of the body and the external terminal and a second area including the content, receive an input of moving the content displayed in the second area to the first area, display the content in the first area in response to the input, share the content in the first area with the external terminal, and control sizes of the first and second areas to vary according to a length of a sliding contact surface between the body and the external terminal when the one side of the body and the one side of the external terminal come into contact with each other in a sliding manner. 2. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , wherein the first area includes a first shared area included in the touchscreen and a second shared area extended to a touchscreen of the external terminal sharing the contact area with the first shared area, and wherein the controller is further configured to control the first shared area and the second shared area as one overall shared area. 3. The mobile terminal of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to: receive a predetermined input applied to the content displayed in the first area, and magnify and display the content in the overall shared area including the first shared area and the second shared area. 4. The mobile terminal of claim 3 , wherein the controller is further configured to display multiple shared pieces of content in the shared area when a plurality of zoom-out inputs is sequentially input for the content displayed in the overall shared area. 5. The mobile terminal of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to: display multiple pieces of content that have been moved to the overall shared area, and scroll the multiple pieces of content through a scroll input applied to the shared area. 6. The mobile terminal of claim 2 , wherein the input of moving the content to the first area includes at least one of a drag input of moving the content to the first shared area, a drag input of moving the content to the second shared area, and a drag input of moving content displayed in the first shared area to the second shared area. 7. The mobile terminal of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to add a download indicator to the content when the content displayed in the first shared area is not content stored in the mobile terminal. 8. The mobile terminal of claim 7 , wherein the controller is further configured to download the content and to store the downloaded content in a memory upon reception of an input of selecting the download indicator. 9. The mobile terminal of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to share content associated with a specific application through the shared area when the mobile terminal comes into contact with the external terminal during execution of the specific application. 10. The mobile terminal of claim 9 , wherein the controller is further configured to control the specific application to be executed in the external terminal. 11. The mobile terminal of claim 9 , wherein the controller is further configured to display at least one application commonly installed in the mobile terminal and the external terminal in the first shared area and the second shared area. 12. The mobile terminal of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to execute a first application for displaying one or more images and to control a specific image from among the one or more images to be displayed in the overall shared area when the one side of the mobile terminal comes into contact with the one side of the external terminal while the specific image is displayed on the touchscreen. 13. The mobile terminal of claim 12 , wherein the contact area of the mobile terminal and the external terminal corresponds to the overall side of the mobile terminal and the overall side of the external terminal. 14. The mobile terminal of claim 12 , wherein the controller is further configured to arrange a first image stored in the mobile terminal and a second image stored in the external terminal based on predetermined information and to display the first and second images in the overall shared area in a scrolling manner, upon reception of flicking input applied to the shared area. 15. The mobile terminal of claim 2 , wherein the controller is further configured to seamlessly display a first image output through a touchscreen provided to the side of the body and a second image output through a touchscreen included in the external terminal when the content is displayed in the overall shared area. 16. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , wherein the controller is further configured to execute a predetermined application through the second area irrespective of the sharing the content through the first area. 17. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , wherein the content displayed in the second area includes at least one of a still image, multimedia content including a video or a reproducible music file, an application, a text file and a contact list. 18. The mobile terminal of claim 1 , further comprising: a radio communication unit, wherein the mobile terminal and the external terminal are connected such that data communication is performed therebetween through the radio communication unit while the mobile terminal and the external terminal are in contact with each other, when the one side of the body and the one side of the external terminal come into contact with each other. 19. A method for controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising: detecting one side of a body of the mobile terminal comes into contact with one side of an external terminal; displaying, via a touchscreen of the mobile terminal, a first area corresponding to a contact area of the body and the external terminal and a second area including the content; receiving, via a controller of the mobile terminal, an input of moving the content displayed in the second area to the first area; displaying the content in the first area of the touchscreen in response to the input; and sharing, via the controller, the content in the first area with the external terminal, wherein sizes of the first and second areas are varied according to a length of a sliding contact surface between the body and the external terminal when the one side of the body and the one side of the external terminal come into contact with each other in a sliding manner.
