Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The various embodiments include methods, computers and communication systems for controlling services across multiple heterogeneous networks by collecting communication information from a plurality of telecommunications domains, generating a message based on the collected communication information, and sending the generated message to a public interface of a telecommunications domain to alter the functionality of the telecommunications domain component. The generated message may include information for altering a functionality of a telecommunications domain component. Generating a message based on the collected communication information may include crowd sourcing the collected information, which may include summing, averaging, aggregating, comparing and/or correlating the collected information.

What is claimed is: 1. A method of modifying a service, comprising: collecting, via a server processor in a continuum orchestrator component, communication information from a domain orchestrator component in each of a plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains, wherein each domain orchestrator component publishes information collected from two or more components in its corresponding heterogeneous telecommunications domain; aggregating, via the server processor, the communication information collected from two different domain orchestrator components in two different heterogeneous telecommunications domains; correlating, via the server processor, the communication information collected from the two different domain orchestrator components in the two different heterogeneous telecommunications domains; using, by the server processor, the aggregated and correlated information to determine a service policy for a telecommunications domain in the plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains; generating, via the server processor, a message based on the determined service policy and to include information for altering a functionality of a telecommunications domain component in the telecommunications domain; and sending the generated message from the continuum orchestrator component to the domain orchestrator component in the telecommunications domain to alter the functionality of the telecommunications domain component. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein aggregating and correlating the communication information collected from two different domain orchestrator components in two different heterogeneous telecommunications domains further comprises crowd sourcing the communication information. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein sending the generated message from the continuum orchestrator component to the domain orchestrator component in the telecommunications domain to alter the functionality of the telecommunications domain component comprises sending the generated message from the continuum orchestrator component to a domain orchestrator component in a user equipment domain to alter the functionality of a user equipment device. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein collecting communication information from the domain orchestrator component in each of the plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains comprises collecting information from a plurality of user equipment domains, each user equipment domain including a plurality of user equipment devices configured to publish information to its respective domain orchestrator component. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein collecting communication information from the of domain orchestrator component in each of the plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains comprises collecting one or more of: application usage information; time based information; volume based information; event based information; performance based information; service purchase information; service rating information; balance information; policy information; quality of service information; contextual information; and user information. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein: aggregating and correlating the collected communication information further comprises comparing the information collected from a first component in a first heterogeneous telecommunications domain to the information collected from a second component in a second heterogeneous telecommunications domain to determine whether the information collected from the first component is consistent with the information collected from the second component; and sending the generated message from the continuum orchestrator component to the domain orchestrator component in the telecommunications domain to alter the functionality of the telecommunications domain component comprises sending the generated message only when it is determined that the information collected from the first component is not consistent with the information collected from the second component. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the continuum orchestrator component is external to the plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein aggregating and correlating the collected communication information further comprises at least one of summing, averaging, and comparing the collected communication information. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein: collecting communication information from the domain orchestrator component in each of the plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains comprises collecting information from at least one component in a user equipment domain; and sending the generated message from the continuum orchestrator component to the domain orchestrator component in the telecommunications domain to alter the functionality of the telecommunications domain component comprises sending the generated message to the domain orchestrator component in a mobile packet core domain to alter the functionality of a mobile packet core component. 10. A computing device, comprising: a memory; and a processor coupled to the memory, wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions to perform operations comprising: collecting communication information from a domain orchestrator component in each of a plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains, wherein each domain orchestrator component publishes information collected from two or more components in its corresponding heterogeneous telecommunications domain; aggregating the communication information collected from two different domain orchestrator components in two different heterogeneous telecommunications domains; correlating the communication information collected from the two different domain orchestrator components in the two different heterogeneous telecommunications domains; using the aggregated and correlated information to determine a service policy for a telecommunications domain in the plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains; generating a message based on the determined service policy and to include information for altering a functionality of a telecommunications domain component in the telecommunications domain; and sending the generated message to the domain orchestrator component in the telecommunications domain to alter the functionality of the telecommunications domain component. 11. The computing device of claim 10 , wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions such that aggregating and correlating the communication information collected from two different domain orchestrator components in two different heterogeneous telecommunications domains further comprises: crowd sourcing the information collected from the plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains. 12. The computing device of claim 10 , wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions such that sending the generated message to the domain orchestrator component in the telecommunications domain to alter the functionality of the telecommunications domain component comprises sending the generated message to a domain orchestrator component in a user equipment domain to alter the functionality of a user equipment device. 13. The computing device of claim 10 , wherein the processor is configured with processor-executable instructions such that collecting communication information from the domain orchestrator component in each of the plurality of heterogeneous telecommunications domains comprises collecting information from a plurality of user equipment domains, each user equipment domain including a pl
