What is claimed is: 1. A method of treating a disease associated with increased activity of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) or matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an antibody comprising an antigen recognition region capable of specifically binding the compound having the Formula: wherein R is O—CH 2 —CH 2 —CONH—CH 2 —CH 2 —NH 2 , wherein the antibody is capable of inhibiting the activity of MMP-9 and MMP-2 with a IC50 of less than 5 μM, thereby treating a disease associated with increased activity of MMP-9 or MMP-2 in the subject. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the disease is an inflammatory bowel disease. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the disease is cancer that is associated with increased activity of MMP-9 and or MMP-2. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the disease is multiple sclerosis. 5. The method of claim 3 , wherein said cancer is a metastatic cancer that is associated with increased activity of MMP-9 and or MMP-2.
