A method for controlling an electronic device is provided, including displaying at least one portion of a screen displayed on a first display unit of a first electronic device on a second display unit of a second electronic device, receiving an input related to a first position in the second display unit; identifying a type of an object corresponding to the first position, and executing at least one function based on the type of the object.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for executing a function related to information on a first electronic device with a second electronic device, comprising: displaying at least a portion of a screen displayed on a display unit of the first electronic device on a display unit of the second electronic device; performing an analysis of an object included in the displayed portion from the first electronic device, the analysis being performed in response to a user input received at the second electronic device; when the object is analyzed as a phone number, displaying by the second electronic device, in addition to the portion of the screen displayed on the display unit of the first electronic device, an interface for performing a plurality of phone number-related functions while the another electronic device continues to display the screen, wherein the plurality of phone number-related functions include a function to make a phone call and a function that stores the phone number, receiving a selection of the function to make the phone call and, in response, displaying information on the display unit of the second electronic device for display during the phone call while different information is displayed on the display unit of the first electronic device that is both related to the phone number and different from the screen displayed on the display unit of the first electronic device; and receiving a selection of the function that stores the phone number and, in response, storing the phone number in an address book. 2. An electronic device for executing a function related to information displayed on another electronic device, comprising: a display unit configured to display at least a portion of a screen displayed on a display unit of the another electronic device; and a controller configured to: perform an analysis of an object included in the displayed screen portion from the electronic device, in response to a user input; when the object is analyzed as a phone number, the display unit displays, in addition to the portion of the screen displayed on the display unit of the another electronic device, an interface for performing a plurality of phone number-related functions while the another electronic device continues to display the screen, wherein the plurality of phone number-related functions include a function to make a phone call and a function that stores the phone number, in response to receiving a selection of the function to make the phone call, displaying information on the electronic device for display during the phone call while different information is displayed on the another electronic device that is both related to the phone number and different from the screen displayed on a display unit of the another electronic device; and in response to receiving a selection of the function that stores the phone number, storing the phone number in an address book. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one phone number-related function comprises calling the phone number responsive to receiving a user input.
