What is claimed is: 1. A method of manufacturing a surgical implant for treating a joint of a patient, the method comprising: providing a blank; engaging at least a portion of a bone-facing surface of the blank with an engagement portion of an outer surface of a fixture; and machining the blank to form a joint-facing surface, wherein the joint-facing surface of the blank has a patient-adapted curvature in a first plane. 2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising selecting the blank from a plurality of blanks based, at least in part, on a size of the implant. 3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising processing the blank while it is engaged with the fixture. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the joint-facing surface has a patient-adapted curvature in a second plane. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the bone-facing surface is patient-adapted. 6. The method of claim 3 , wherein the processing includes at least one processing technique selected from the group consisting of machining, milling, cutting, warping, drilling, smoothing, shaping, finishing, buffing, polishing, cleaning, inspecting, and drag finishing. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the processing includes: connecting the fixture to a first processing apparatus; processing the blank in the first processing apparatus; disconnecting the fixture from the first processing apparatus; connecting the fixture to a second processing apparatus; and processing the blank in the second processing apparatus. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the engagement portion of the fixture abuts substantially the entirety of the bone-facing surface of the blank when the blank is engaged with the fixture. 9. The method of claim 1 , further comprising assessing fit of the blank relative to the engagement portion of the fixture when the blank is engaged with the fixture. 10. The method of claim 9 , further comprising machining the blank after the assessing fit of the blank relative to the engagement portion of the fixture.
