Embodiments provide systems, methods, processes, computer program code and means for using mobile devices to conduct payment transactions at merchant locations including brick and mortar locations and remote locations as well as for person to person transactions.

I claim: 1. A method for operating a device associated with a first party to perform a transaction between the first party and a second party˜the method comprising: accessing, by the first party, a plurality of offers available to the first party managed by a transaction management system; transmitting, by the first party to the transaction management system, an acceptance of at least one of the plurality of offers; transmitting, by the second party to the transaction management system, a message to initiate transaction processing, wherein the first party is a customer and the second party is a merchant, wherein at least one of the accepted offers is associated with the transaction; receiving, responsive to the transmitting by the second party to the transaction management system, a checkout token from the transaction management system configured to be displayed and/or presented by a device associated with the second party; causing the checkout token to be captured by the device associated with the first party, the checkout token presented to the first party by said second party; transmitting, to said transaction management system, information captured from said checkout token; receiving, from said transaction management system, information associated with said transaction including information to identify details of said transaction; and transmitting, to said transaction management system, a message including information for use in completing said transaction. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein said information to identify details of said transaction further includes: information to identify (i) a transaction amount, (ii) said second party, and (iii) at least a first account of said first party available for use in said transaction. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein at least one of the plurality of offers is selected by said transaction management system based at least in part on information associated with at least one of (i) said transaction amount, (ii) said second party, (iii) said first party, and (iv) said at least first account. 4. The method of claim 2 , wherein said receiving information associated with said transaction further includes information to identify an adjusted transaction amount. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein said adjusted transaction amount is calculated based on application of a discount by said second party. 6. The method of claim 5 , wherein said adjusted transaction amount is calculated by said second party after receipt of information identifying said first party from said transaction management system. 7. The method of claim 6 , wherein said information identifying said first party includes information for use by said second party to identify a loyalty account of said first party associated with said second party. 8. The method of claim 4 , wherein said adjusted transaction amount is calculated based at least one of the accepted offers. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein said message for completing said transaction includes information to identify at least one of a selected account. 10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the checkout token is generated by the transaction management system. 11. A method for operating a mobile device to perform a transaction between a customer and a merchant, where the mobile device is operated by the customer to initiate transaction processing, the method comprising: accessing a plurality of offers available to the customer and managed by a transaction management system; transmitting, to the transaction management system, an acceptance of at least one of the plurality of offers; transmitting, to the transaction management system, a request for a checkout token associated with the transaction, wherein at least one of the accepted offers is associated with the transaction; and obtaining, responsive to the transaction management system receiving the request for the checkout token, the checkout token associated with the transaction from the transaction management system with the mobile device associated with the customer; causing, through the mobile device associated with the customer, the checkout token to be communicated to the merchant for use in communication between the merchant and the transaction management system associated with the transaction; receiving, through the mobile device associated with the customer and from said transaction management system, information associated with said payment transaction including information used by said mobile device to identify (i) a transaction amount, (ii) said merchant, and (iii) at least a first account of said customer available for use in said transaction; and transmitting, through the mobile device associated with the customer and to said transaction management system, a message including information for use in completing said transaction. 12. The method of claim 11 , wherein said checkout token is generated by the transaction management system. 13. A method to operate a transaction management system to complete a transaction involving a first device and a second device, the method comprising: transmitting, to the second device, a plurality of offers available to a customer and managed by a transaction management system; receiving, by the transaction management system, an acceptance of at least one of the plurality of offers transmitted by the second device; receiving a request to initiate a transaction from a first device, wherein the first device is associated with a merchant and the transaction is associated with at least one of the accepted offers; creating a pending transaction record by said transaction management system, the pending transaction record including information received from said first device in said request to initiate; generating, responsive to the receiving of the request to initiate a transaction from a first device, a checkout token associated with said pending transaction record configured to be displayed and/or presented by the first device; transmitting said checkout token to said first device; receiving a request to participate in said transaction by said second device, said request including said checkout token, wherein the second device is associated with the customer; identifying, based on information associated with at least one of said request to participate and said request to initiate, an account available for use in completing said transaction; and completing said transaction using said account. 14. The method of claim 13 , wherein said request to initiate is received over a first communication channel, and said request to participate is received over a second communication channel. 15. The method of claim 13 , wherein said first device is a mobile device associated with a user, and said account is an account associated with said user, and said second device is a device associated with a merchant. 16. The method of claim 13 , wherein said first device is a device associated with a merchant and said second device is a mobile device associated with a user. 17. The method of claim 13 , wherein said first device is a device associated with a first party and said second device is a device associated with a second party. 18. The method of claim 13 , further comprising: identifying, based on information associated with at least one of said request to participate and said request to initiate, at least a first offer available for use in completing said transaction. 19.
