The invention claimed is: 1. A pane module configured to be installed in a window for a building structure, said pane module comprising: a pane including a first sheet and a second sheet, said first sheet being disposed adjacent an exterior of the building structure and said second sheet being disposed adjacent an interior of the building structure when the pane module is installed, said first sheet and said second sheet being glass or other glazing material, said first sheet having an exterior surface, an interior surface and an outermost edge surface extending from said exterior surface to said interior surface, said second sheet having an exterior surface, an interior surface and an outermost edge surface extending from said exterior surface to said interior surface; and a moulded border element being connected to said pane, said moulded border element and said pane forming at least a portion of the pane module for an openable sash of a window, said moulded border element directly contacting said outermost edge surface of said first sheet and at least a portion of said interior surface of said first sheet, said moulded border element being positioned relative to said pane such that said moulded border element does not contact said exterior surface of said first sheet and wherein the openable sash when installed is connected to a stationary frame of the window, wherein the stationary frame does not move when installed and the openable sash can move relative to the stationary frame to an open position when installed. 2. A pane module as recited in claim 1 , further including: at least one spacer member being positioned between said first sheet and said second sheet, said at least one spacer member being spaced from said moulded border element such that said moulded border element does not contact said at least one spacer member. 3. A pane module as recited in claim 1 , wherein: said outermost edge surface of said second sheet is spaced from said moulded border element such that said moulded border element does not contact said outermost edge surface of said second sheet. 4. A pane module as recited in claim 3 , wherein: said moulded border element is formed from a material having adhesive properties. 5. A pane module as recited in claim 4 , wherein: said moulded border element is fixed to said pane by the adhesive properties of said moulded border element when said moulded border element is formed. 6. A pane module as recited in claim 1 , wherein: said moulded border element provides a structural joint between said pane and a frame element of a window. 7. A pane module as recited in claim 1 , wherein: said moulded border element is formed from polyurethane. 8. A pane module as recited in claim 1 , wherein: said outermost edge surface of said first sheet extends on four sides of said first sheet, said moulded border element is in contact with said outermost edge surface of said first sheet on all four sides of said first sheet. 9. A pane module as recited in claim 8 , wherein: said moulded border element is in contact with said interior surface of said first sheet on all four sides of said first sheet. 10. A pane module as recited in claim 9 , wherein: said outermost edge surface of said second sheet extends on four sides of said second sheet, said second sheet is of a different size or shape than said first sheet such that said outermost edge surface of said second sheet is offset from said outermost edge surface of said first sheet. 11. A pane module as recited in claim 1 , wherein: the pane module forms at least a portion of the moveable sash of the window. 12. A pane module as recited in claim 1 , wherein: the first sheet includes priming means to enhance adhesion of the first sheet to the moulded border element. 13. A pane module configured to be installed in a window for a building structure, said pane module comprising: a pane including a first sheet and a second sheet, said first sheet being disposed adjacent an exterior of the building structure and said second sheet being disposed adjacent an interior of the building structure when the pane module is installed, said first sheet and said second sheet being glass or other glazing material, said first sheet having an exterior surface, an interior surface and an outermost edge surface extending from said exterior surface to said interior surface, said second sheet having an exterior surface, an interior surface and an outermost edge surface extending from said exterior surface to said interior surface; and a moulded border element directly contacting said outermost edge surface of said first sheet and at least a portion of said interior surface of said first sheet, said moulded border element being positioned relative to said pane such that said moulded border element does not contact said exterior surface of said first sheet, said moulded border element being fixed to said pane by adhesive properties of said moulded border element when said moulded border element is formed, the pane and the moulded border element forming at least a portion of the pane module for an openable sash of a window and wherein the openable sash when installed is connected to a stationary frame of the window, wherein the stationary frame does not move when installed and the openable sash can move relative to the stationary frame to an open position when installed. 14. A pane module as recited in claim 13 , further including: at least one spacer member spacing said first sheet from said second sheet, said at least one spacer member being spaced from said moulded border element such that said moulded border element does not contact said at least one spacer member. 15. A pane module as recited in claim 13 , wherein: said moulded border element provides a structural joint between said pane and a frame element of a window. 16. A pane module as recited in claim 13 , wherein: said moulded border element is formed from polyurethane. 17. A pane module as recited in claim 13 , wherein: said outermost edge surface of said first sheet extends on four sides of said first sheet, said moulded border element is in contact with said outermost edge surface of said first sheet on all four sides of said first sheet. 18. A pane module as recited in claim 17 , wherein: said moulded border element is in contact with said interior surface of said first sheet on all four sides of said first sheet. 19. A pane module as recited in claim 18 , wherein: said outermost edge surface of said second sheet extends on four sides of said second sheet, said second sheet is of a different size or shape than said first sheet such that said outermost edge surface of said second sheet is offset from said outermost edge surface of said first sheet. 20. A pane module as recited in claim 13 , wherein: the pane module forms at least a portion of the moveable sash of the window. 21. A pane module as recited in claim 13 , wherein: the first sheet includes priming means to enhance adhesion of the first sheet to the moulded border element. 22.
