Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The present disclosure is directed, in part, to an absorbent article comprising a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article comprises a belt portion extending from the chassis. The belt portion comprises a first substrate, a second substrate joined to the first substrate, and a plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate. The belt portion comprises a texture zone having a texture ratio of greater than about 5.

What is claimed is: 1. An absorbent article comprising: a chassis comprising: a topsheet; a backsheet; and a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet; and a belt portion extending from the chassis, wherein the belt portion comprises: a first substrate, wherein the first substrate comprises a nonwoven material comprising a plurality of non-linear densified regions wherein the plurality of non-linear densified regions are non-linear in a plan view of the belt portion, and wherein at least some of the plurality of non-linear densified regions have a thickness that is less than about ⅓ of a thickness of the first substrate in non-densified areas; a second substrate nested with the first substrate; and a plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the belt portion comprises a texture zone having a texture ratio of greater than 5 and wherein the plurality of non-linear densified regions define a frequency of rugosities of the texture zone. 2. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the texture ratio is greater than 5 and less than 25. 3. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein a distance intermediate each of the elastic elements is at least 4 mm and less than 15 mm. 4. The absorbent article of claim 3 , wherein the elastic elements are uniformly spaced relative to each other. 5. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein a distance intermediate each of the elastic elements is at least 6 mm and less than 15 mm. 6. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the elastic elements are adhesively joined to a portion of the first substrate or to a portion of the second substrate. 7. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the elastic elements are continuously adhesively joined to a portion of the first substrate or to a portion of the second substrate. 8. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the belt portion is a first belt portion, comprising a second belt portion extending from the chassis, wherein the second belt portion comprises a third substrate, a fourth substrate nested with the third substrate, and a second plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the third substrate and the fourth substrate, wherein the second belt portion comprises a second texture zone having a texture ratio of greater than 5, and wherein portions of the first belt portion are joined to portions of the second belt portion to form a pant. 9. The absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the first texture zone and the second texture zone are continuous and uniform at least proximate to where the portions of the first belt portion are joined to the portions of the second belt portion. 10. The absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the portions of the first belt portion are releasably joined to the portions of the second belt portion. 11. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the first substrate has a frequency of greater than 7 rugosities per centimeter. 12. The absorbent article of claim 11 , wherein each of the non-linear densified regions is continuous. 13. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the first substrate comprises a laminate comprising two layers joined together by a bonding pattern that defines the frequency of nested rugosities of the texture zone. 14. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of elongate elastic elements are attached to the first substrate or to the second substrate in areas other than the non-linear densified regions in the first substrate. 15. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein at least some of the plurality of non-linear densified regions have an aspect ratio of about 2 to about 200. 16. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of non-linear densified regions extend primarily in a direction about a longitudinal axis of the absorbent article. 17. An absorbent article comprising: a chassis comprising: a topsheet; a backsheet; and a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet; and a belt portion extending from the chassis, wherein the belt portion comprises an elasticized portion having a texture ratio in the range of 5 to 20, wherein the elasticized portion forms a single uniform texture, wherein the belt portion comprises: a first substrate comprising a plurality of non-linear densified regions, wherein the plurality of non-linear densified regions are non-linear in a plan view of the belt portion, wherein the plurality of non-linear densified regions define a frequency of rugosities of the texture zone, and wherein at least, some of the plurality of non-linear densified regions have a thickness that is less than about ⅓ of a thickness of the first substrate in non-densified areas; a second substrate; and a plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate, and wherein the first and second substrates together comprise nested rugosities. 18. The absorbent article of claim 17 , wherein the absorbent article comprises a longitudinal axis, and wherein the single uniform texture is non-linear in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis. 19. The absorbent article of claim 17 , wherein the first and second substrates are adhesively joined to each other. 20. The absorbent article of claim 17 , wherein the total basis weight of the belt portion is in the range of 25 gsm to 90 gsm. 21. The absorbent article of claim 17 , wherein the nested rugosities comprise nested peaks and nested troughs. 22. An absorbent article comprising: a chassis comprising: a topsheet; a backsheet; and a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet; and a belt portion extending from the chassis, wherein the belt portion comprises: a first substrate comprising a nonwoven material comprising a plurality of non-linear densified regions, wherein the plurality of non-linear densified regions are non-linear in a plan view of the belt portion, and wherein at least some of the plurality of non-linear densified regions have a thickness that is less than about ⅓ of a thickness of the first substrate in non-densified areas; a second substrate nested with the first substrate; and a plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the belt portion comprises a texture zone having a texture ratio of greater than 5, wherein a distance intermediate each of the elastic elements is at least 4 mm and less than 35 mm, and wherein the elongate elastic elements are adhesively joined to portions of the first substrate or to portions of the second substrate and wherein the plurality of non-linear densified regions define a frequency of rugosities of the texture zone.
