A method for manufacturing a dispenser part, such as a dispenser or a part of a dispenser, having at least two component parts joined by a seam extending from a first side edge to a second side edge of the dispenser part. The method involves using a single mold and producing the dispenser part using a two component injection molding process. A dispenser or a dispenser part including at least two component parts joined by a seam achieved by the method, and a component part used in such a dispenser or dispenser part are also described.

The invention claimed is: 1. Method of manufacturing a dispenser part, comprising: performing a first injection moulding step in a mould to produce a first component part having a first edge and comprising, in a transverse direction to the first edge, a first inner step adjacent an inner surface of the dispenser part, a first outer step adjacent an outer surface of the dispenser part, and a first intermediate step between the first inner step and the first outer step, the first outer step having a height in the transverse direction that is larger than a height of the first intermediate step in the transverse direction; retaining the first component part in the mould; and performing a second injection moulding step in said mould to produce a second component part having a second edge and to join the second edge of the second component part to the first edge of the first component part to form a seam, such that the second component part is flush with each of the steps of the first component part. 2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the height of the first intermediate step is 0.05 to 3 mm. 3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first inner step, the first outer step, and the first intermediate step are formed along the first edge from a first free side edge on a first side surface of the dispenser part to a second free side edge on a second side surface of the dispenser part. 4. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising moulding each of the first inner step, the first outer step, and the first intermediate step to form a first contact surface at right angles to the outer or the inner surface of the dispenser part, and a second contact surface extending at an angle to the first contact surface. 5. The method according to claim 4 , further comprising moulding the second contact surface to form raised contact increasing means along the length of the seam. 6. The method according to claim 5 , further comprising melting the raised contact increasing means during the second injection moulding step. 7. The method according to claim 4 , further comprising moulding at least one of the first inner step, the first outer step, or the first intermediate step to form a third contact surface at right angles to the outer or the inner surface of the dispenser part. 8. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the height of each intermediate step is 0.05 to 2 mm. 9. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the seam includes at least two intermediate steps and wherein the heights of the at least two intermediate steps are equal. 10. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the steps are formed so that a thickness of the first edge is reduced with each step towards the inner surface of the first component part, the thickness of the first edge extending between the outer and the inner surface of the dispenser part. 11. The method according to claim 5 , further comprising moulding the raised contact increasing means to form at least one projection along the length of the seam. 12. The method according to claim 11 , further comprising forming at least one flat projection extending at right angles to the second contact surface along the length of the seam. 13. The method according to claim 11 , wherein multiple, individual projections are formed along the length of the seam. 14. The method according to claim 5 , further comprising moulding the raised contact increasing means to form at least one ridge along the length of the seam. 15. The method according to claim 14 , wherein the at least one ridge has a V-shaped cross-section. 16. The method according to claim 14 , wherein multiple, parallel ridges having a V-shaped cross-section are formed. 17. The method according to claim 11 , further comprising forming at least one projection or ridge having a height up to half the height of the first outer step or the first inner step. 18. The method according to claim 11 , wherein projections having the same or different heights are formed. 19. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first component part is moulded from a transparent material. 20. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the second component part is moulded from an opaque material. 21. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising injecting at least one of the materials for the first or second component parts at a temperature higher than a standard injection temperature for the material used. 22. The method according to claim 1 , further comprising injecting at least one of the materials for the first or second component parts at a temperature selected above a recommended injection temperature for the particular material.
