The peptide of claim 1 , wherein the amino acid sequence of N 2 comprises less than 10 amino acids. 10. A peptide comprising an amino acid segment comprising: the amino acid sequence of GLEAS(N 1 )AYDGVEPS(N 2 )AYDGE, an amino acid sequence at least about 90% identical to the amino acid sequence of GLEAS(N 1 )AYDGVEPS(N 2 )AYDGE, or the amino acid sequence of GLEAS(N 1 )AYDGVEPS(N 2 )AYDGE having one or more conservative amino acid substitutions; wherein N 1 and N 2 comprises an amino acid sequence, wherein N 1 and N 2 do not comprise one or more of the amino acids A, C, I, F, L, P, S, T, or V. 11. The peptide of claim 10 , wherein the amino acid sequence of N 1 comprises less than 100 amino acids. 12. The peptide of claim 10 , wherein the amino acid sequence of N 1 comprises less than 50 amino acids. 13. The peptide of claim 11 , wherein the amino acid sequence of N 1 comprises less than 20 amino acids. 14.
