The invention claimed is: 1. An electronic smoking device, comprising: a tubular housing having a first end and a second end; an outlet on the second end of the tubular housing; a wire coil in a tube, with the tube within the housing, and the wire coil configured to vaporize liquid moving from outside of the tube into the tube and contacting the wire coil; a control circuit in the tubular housing electrically connected to the wire coil and to a sensor; at least one air opening leading into the tubular housing, with the wire coil in between the at least one air opening and the second end of the tubular housing; and an LED at the first end of the tubular housing, with the LED electrically connected to the control circuit, and the LED configured to provide a gradual change in luminance to imitate a conventional cigarette. 2. The electronic smoking device of claim 1 with further comprising screw threads at the first end of the tubular housing. 3. The electronic smoking device of claim 1 with the tube comprising a fiber material. 4. The electronic smoking device of claim 1 wherein the housing resembles a cigarette. 5. The electronic smoking device of claim 1 with the wire coil parallel to the tubular housing. 6. The electronic cigarette of claim 1 with the LED configured to provide luminance that changes based on an output of the sensor. 7. The electronic smoking device of claim 1 with the tube attached to a first side of a base in the housing and further including screw threads on a second side of the base, opposite from the first side of the base. 8. An electronic smoking device, comprising: an electronic cigarette having a housing having a first end and a second end; an outlet on a second end of the housing; a wire coil in a tube comprising a fiber material, with the tube in the housing and attached to a base in the housing, and with liquid in the housing moving from a location outside of the tube into contact with the wire coil in the tube to create vapor in the tube; a control circuit in the housing electrically connected to the wire coil and to a sensor and a battery; at least one air opening leading into the housing, with the wire coil in between the at least one air opening and the second end of the housing; and an LED at the first end of the housing, with the LED electrically connected to the control circuit, and the LED configured to provide a gradual change in luminance to imitate a conventional cigarette. 9. The electronic smoking device of claim 8 with the tube attached to a first side of the base and further including screw threads on a second side of the base, opposite from the first side of the base. 10. The electronic smoking device of claim 8 with the LED configured to provide a gradual change in luminance based on an output of the sensor. 11. The electronic smoking device of claim 8 wherein the housing resembles a cigarette. 12. An electronic smoking device, comprising: an electronic cigarette having a housing having a first end and a second end; an outlet on a second end of the housing; a wire coil in a tube, with the tube in the housing and attached to a base in the housing; a control circuit in the housing electrically connected to the wire coil and to a sensor and a battery in the housing; an LED at the first end of the housing, with the LED electrically connected to the control circuit, and the LED configured to provide a gradual change in luminance via the control circuit; at least one air opening leading into the housing, with the wire coil in between the at least one air opening and the second end of the housing. 13. The electronic smoking device of claim 12 with tube comprising a fiber material. 14. The electronic smoking device of claim 12 with the LED configured to provide a gradual change in luminance via the control unit that changes based on an output of the sensor. 15. The electronic smoking device of claim 12 wherein the housing resembles a cigarette. 16. An electronic cigarette, comprising: a housing having a first section having a first end and a second section having a second end, with the first section attached to the second section; an outlet at the second end of the second section of the housing; a wire heating coil in a tube in the second section of the housing; a control circuit electrically connected to the wire heating coil and to a sensor, and to a battery in the first section of the housing; an LED at the first end of the first section of the housing, with the LED electrically connected to the control circuit, and the LED configured to provide luminance that changes based on an output of the sensor, to imitate a conventional cigarette; and at least one air opening leading into at least one of the first and second sections of the housing, with the wire heating coil in between the at least one air opening and the second end of the second section of the housing. 17. The electronic cigarette of claim 16 wherein the housing has a tubular first section attached to a tubular second section, and with the battery in the first section.
