A telecommunications assembly includes a chassis defining an interior region and a tray assembly disposed in the interior region. The tray assembly includes a tray and a cable spool assembly. The cable spool assembly is engaged to a base panel of the tray. The cable spool assembly is adapted to rotate relative to the tray. The cable spool assembly includes a hub, a flange engaged to the hub and an adapter module. The flange defines a termination area. The adapter module is engaged to the termination module of the flange. The adapter module is adapted to slide relative to the flange in a direction that is generally parallel to the flange between an extended position and a retracted position.

What is claimed is: 1. A telecommunications deployment device comprising: (a) a cable assembly including a tray assembly, the tray assembly including: (i) a tray; and (ii) a cable spool assembly adapted to rotate relative to the tray, the cable spool assembly including: (1) a hub; (2) a first flange engaged to the hub; and (3) a second flange engaged to the hub opposite the first flange; (b) a cable spool including top and bottom, opposite, flanges with a drum positioned therebetween, wherein the tray assembly is mounted to an outer surface of the top flange of the cable spool; and (c) a fiber optic cable assembly including a main cable portion that is spooled about the cable spool assembly and the cable spool. 2. The telecommunications device of claim 1 , wherein: (a) the cable spool assembly of the tray assembly rotates relative to the tray and the cable spool. 3. The telecommunications device of claim 1 , wherein: (a) the second flange includes a termination area having an adapter module that rotates in unison with the cable spool assembly. 4. The telecommunications device of claim 1 , wherein: (a) the hub includes a first longitudinal end, an oppositely disposed second longitudinal end, a first longitudinal side that extends between the first and second longitudinal ends, and an oppositely disposed second longitudinal side that extends between the first and second longitudinal ends. 5. The telecommunications device of claim 4 , wherein: (a) the first and second longitudinal ends are generally arcuate in shape. 6. The telecommunications device of claim 1 , wherein: (a) the hub includes a strain relief component that projects axially outwardly from the first flange, and the main cable portion includes a strain relief portion wrapped multiple times about the strain relief component. 7. The telecommunications device of claim 1 , wherein: (a) the tray is mounted within a housing adapted for connection to a telecommunications rack. 8. The telecommunications device of claim 3 , wherein: (a) the tray is slidably movable relative to the housing. 9. The telecommunications device of claim 8 , wherein: (a) the tray is slidable in a front-to-back orientation. 10. The telecommunications device of claim 7 , wherein: (a) the adapter module slides relative to the second flange in a direction that is generally parallel to the second flange between a retracted position and an extended position. 11. The telecommunications device of claim 1 , further comprising: (a) a plurality of fiber optic adapters being carried by the first flange when the first flange is rotated relative to the tray. 12. A method of using a telecommunications assembly, the assembly comprising a tray assembly including a tray with a base having a top side and a bottom side; a first spool mounted to the tray at a location above the top side of the base, the first spool being rotatable relative to the tray; a second spool mounted to the tray at a location below the bottom side of the base; the tray being configured to mount within a housing adapted for connection to a telecommunications rack; the method comprising: (a) positioning the assembly adjacent to a telecommunications mount; (b) wrapping a first length of fiber optic cable about the first spool and a second length of fiber optic cable about the second spool; (c) deploying the first length of fiber optic cable from the first spool until the fiber optic cable is paid out therefrom, and thereafter deploying the second length of fiber optic cable from the second spool; and (d) installing the tray assembly in the telecommunications rack. 13. The method of claim 12 , wherein: (a) the tray assembly is inserted into the telecommunications rack from the back. 14. The method of claim 12 , wherein: (a) the tray assembly is inserted into the telecommunications rack from the front.
