Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An absorbent article comprises a chassis having a belt portion extending therefrom. The belt portion comprises a side edge, a waist opening edge, a leg opening edge, first and second substrates engaged with each other, and elastic elements disposed intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate. The belt portion also comprises a first texture zone comprising a first portion of the substrates and the elastic strands and disposed adjacent to the side edge and the waist opening edge and a second texture zone comprising a second portion of the substrates and the elastic elements and disposed adjacent to the side edge and the leg opening edge. The first texture zone extends at least partially along a first lateral extent of the belt portion and the second texture zone extends at least partially along a second lateral extent of the belt portion.

An absorbent article comprising: a chassis comprising: a topsheet; a backsheet; a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet; a first end portion; and a second end portion longitudinally opposed to the first end portion; and a belt portion extending from the first end portion, the belt portion comprising: a side edge; a waist opening edge; a leg opening edge; a first substrate; a second substrate attached to the first substrate; a plurality of elastic strands disposed intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate; a first elasticized texture zone comprising a first portion of the substrates and the elastic strands and disposed adjacent to the side edge and the waist opening edge, wherein the first elasticized texture zone extends at least partially along a first lateral extent of the belt portion, and wherein the elastic strands in the first elasticized texture zone have a first elastic spacing; and a second elasticized texture zone comprising a second portion of the substrates and the elastic strands and disposed adjacent to the side edge and the leg opening edge, wherein the second elasticized texture zone extends at least partially along a second lateral extent of the belt portion, wherein the elastic strands in the second elasticized texture zone have a second elastic spacing, wherein the first elastic spacing and the second elastic spacing are substantially equal, wherein the first elasticized texture zone has a different texture than the second elasticized texture zone, wherein the first elasticized texture zone comprises a first plurality of densified regions and the second elasticized texture zone comprises a second plurality of densified regions, and wherein the first plurality of densified regions are different in dimension than the second plurality of densified regions. 2. The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the belt portion comprises a third elasticized texture zone comprising a third portion of the substrates and the elastic strands, disposed at least partially between the first and second elasticized texture zones, and extending at least partially along a third lateral extent of the belt portion, and wherein a longitudinal axis of the absorbent article extends through the first and third elasticized texture zones. 3. The absorbent article of claim 2 , wherein the side edge is a first side edge, wherein the belt portion comprises a second side edge laterally opposed to the first side edge, and wherein a laterally oriented line extending from a midpoint of the first side edge to the midpoint of the second side edge extends through one or more of the first elasticized texture zone, the second elasticized texture zone, and the third elasticized texture zone. 4. The absorbent article of claim 2 , wherein the third elasticized texture zone comprises: a first region disposed between the leg opening edge and the waist opening edge, wherein the first region extends at least partially along the third lateral extent of the belt portion; and a second region disposed more proximate to the leg opening edge than the first region and extending laterally from the side edge to another laterally opposing side edge of the belt portion, wherein the second region comprises a right portion, a left portion, and a center portion disposed between the right and left portions, and wherein the texture of the right portion and the texture of the left portion are different than the texture of the center portion. 5. The absorbent article of claim 4 , wherein the texture of the first region is different than the texture of the second region. 6. The absorbent article of claim 2 , wherein the texture of the third elasticized texture zone is different than the texture of one or both of the first and second elasticized texture zones. 7.
