The present disclosure relates to making payments with a mobile device. In one example process, the mobile device receives and stores information for one or more payment accounts on the mobile device. The mobile device is used to make payments using the payment accounts. In some examples, authorization to proceed with a payment is performed before each purchase made by the user. The authorization process can include receiving a verification of the user, such as a fingerprint scan or passcode. In some examples, a payment account is selected from among available payment accounts. In some examples, an indication is displayed of a digital item associated with a purchased item. In some examples, a payment transaction is initiated with participants of an ongoing communication. In some examples, an application of a retailer is invoked based on the availability of the application. In some examples, a purchase recommendation is provided.

What is claimed is: 1. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions, which when executed by an electronic device with a display, cause the device to: display, on the display, an electronic wallet comprising a respective representation of a payment account, wherein the respective representation of the payment account includes first transaction information for a first payment transaction associated with the payment account; proceed with a second payment transaction associated with the payment account that was authorized using the electronic device; and after proceeding with the second payment transaction that was authorized using the electronic device, and prior to receiving information about the second payment transaction from the financial institution involved in the second transaction, display second transaction information for the second payment transaction, the second transaction information based on information locally available to the electronic device. 2. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein instructions to cause the device to display the second transaction information for the second payment transaction comprise instructions to cause the device to replace display of the first transaction information with display of the second transaction information. 3. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein information locally available to the electronic device comprises one or more of a date of the second payment transaction, a time of the second payment transaction, or a location of the electronic device when the electronic device proceeded with the second payment transaction. 4. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: receive first additional information about the second payment transaction from an intermediary institution involved in the second transaction; and in response to receiving the first additional information about the second payment transaction from the intermediary institution involved in the second transaction, update display of the second transaction information for the second payment transaction to include the first additional information about the second payment transaction. 5. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 4 , wherein the first additional information comprises a monetary amount of the payment transaction. 6. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 4 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: receive second additional information; and in response to receiving the second additional information about the second payment transaction from the financial institution involved in the second transaction, update display of the second transaction information for the second payment transaction to include the second additional information about the second payment transaction. 7. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6 , wherein the second additional information about the second payment transaction comprises a name of a retailer receiving payment as a result of the second payment transaction. 8. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the first payment transaction was completed using the electronic device. 9. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the first payment transaction was completed using a physical credit card associated with the payment account. 10. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: receive a textual message from the financial institution; display the textual message from the financial institution on the respective representation of the payment account; receive selection of the displayed textual message; and in response to receiving selection of the displayed textual message, display a particular application associated with the financial institution. 11. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: display an available credit amount on the respective representation of the payment account; and wherein the available credit amount indicates the amount of credit available on the payment account based on a credit limit of the payment account. 12. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: display an account detail affordance on the respective representation of the payment account; receive selection of the account detail affordance; and in response to receiving selection of the account detail affordance, substitute display of the respective representation of the payment account for display of transactions details of the payment account, the transactions details including the first transaction information and the second transaction information. 13. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: determine whether a particular application for accessing details of the associated payment account is installed on the electronic device; and in accordance with a determination that the particular application is installed, display on the transactions details an open-application affordance for accessing the particular application. 14. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: receive selection of the open-application affordance; and in response to receiving selection of the open-application affordance, completely replace display of the transactions details with display of the particular application. 15. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: receive selection of the first transaction information of the displayed transactions details; in response to receiving selection of the first transaction information, completely replace display of the transactions details with display of a particular application; and wherein display of the particular application includes details about the first payment transaction associated with the payment account. 16. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: wherein the transactions details includes a more-transactions affordance; receive selection of the more-transactions affordance; and in response to receiving selection of the more-transactions affordance, display a third transaction information associated with a third payment transaction associated with the payment account as part of the displayed transactions details. 17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , further comprising instructions to cause the device to: wherein the transactions details includes a remove-card affordance; receive selection of the remove-card affordance; in response to receiving selection of the remove-card affordance, display a confirmation request for removing the respective representation of the payment account from the electronic wallet; receive a confirmation to remove the respective representation of the payment account from the electronic wallet; and remove the respective representation of the payment account from the electronic wallet. 18.
