Abstract

An image processing apparatus is provided that includes a controller configured to control a communication device to transmit, to an information processing terminal device, image processing information indicating a specific one of image processing operations that has been selected at a time when the controller starts establishment of communication with the information processing terminal device, control the communication device to receive execution instructing information from the information processing terminal device, and control a specific one of image processing executing devices that corresponds to the received execution instructing information to execute the specific image processing operation in accordance with the received execution instructing information.

First claim

What is claimed is:

1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
a plurality of image processing executing devices each configured to execute a corresponding one of a plurality of image processing operations, the plurality of image processing executing devices comprising a scanning device configured to execute a scanning operation to scan an image on a document sheet and a printing device configured to execute a printing operation to print based on image data;
a selection accepting device configured to accept a selection of a specific one, of the plurality of image processing operations, to be executed;
a communication device configured to communicate with an information processing terminal device; and
a controller configured to:
control the communication device to start establishment of communication with the information processing terminal device in a state where the selection accepting device has accepted the selection of the specific one of the plurality of image processing operations;
control the communication device to transmit, to the information processing terminal device, image processing information indicating the selected specific one of the plurality of image processing operations after the communication has been established with the information processing terminal device;
control the communication device to receive, from the information processing terminal device, execution instructing information for instructing the image processing apparatus to execute the specific one, of the plurality of image processing operation indicated by the image processing information; and

control a specific one of the plurality of image processing executing devices that corresponds to the received execution instructing information to execute the specific one of the plurality of image processing operation in accordance with the received execution instructing information,
wherein the controller is further configured to:
when the communication has been established with the information processing terminal device in a state where the selection accepting device has accepted a selection of the scanning operation, control the communication device to transmit the image processing information indicating the scanning operation to the information processing terminal device; and
when the communication has been established with the information processing terminal device in a state where the selection accepting device has accepted a selection of the printing operation, control the communication device to transmit the image processing information indicating the printing operation to the information processing terminal device.

2. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the communication device comprises:
a first communication section configured to establish first communication with the information processing terminal device in response to being within a predetermined communicable distance from the information processing terminal device; and
a second communication section configured to establish second communication with the information processing terminal device, using communication setting information, the second communication being performed at a communication speed higher than a communication speed of the first communication within a communicable distance longer than the predetermined communicable distance of the first communication, and

wherein the controller is further configured to:
control the first communication section to transmit the image processing information to the information processing terminal device via the first communication;
control the first communication section to transmit the communication setting information to the information processing terminal device via the first communication, so as to cause the information processing terminal device to establish the second communication with the second communication section; and
control the second communication section to receive the execution instructing information via the second communication after the establishment of the second communication.

3. The image processing apparatus according to claim 2 , further comprising:
a setting accepting device configured to accept a setting value for the specific one of the plurality of image processing operation to be executed by the specific image processing executing device corresponding to the execution instructing information; and
a tag storage device configured to store the setting value accepted by the setting accepting device, and
wherein the controller is further configured to:
control the first communication section to transmit, to the information processing terminal device via the first communication, setting value information indicating the setting value that has been stored in the tag storage device at a time when the controller starts establishment of the first communication with the information processing terminal device;
control the second communication section to receive, from the information processing terminal device via the second communication, the execution instructing information that contains the setting value for the specific one of the plurality of image processing operation corresponding to the image processing information; and
control the specific image processing executing device to execute the specific one of the plurality of image processing operation in accordance with the setting value contained in the execution instructing information.

4. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a tag storage device configured to store the image processing information,
wherein the controller is further configured to:
in response to a selection of a different image processing operation being accepted by the selection accepting device, update the image processing information and control the tag storage device to store the updated image processing information; and
control the communication device to transmit, to the information processing terminal device, the updated image processing information stored in the tag storage device.

5. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the scanning operation is an operation to produce scanned data from the scanned image using the scanning device, and
wherein the controller is further configured to:
control the communication device to receive, from the information processing terminal device, the execution instructing information for instructing the image processing apparatus to produce the scanned data using the scanning device;
control the scanning device to produce the scanned data in accordance with the received execution instructing information; and
control the communication device to transmit, to the information processing terminal device, the scanned data produced in accordance with the received execution instructing information.

6. The image processing apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the plurality of image processing executing devices comprise an image receiving and transmitting device configured to receive and transmit image data through an external network,
wherein the plurality of image processing operations comprise an operation to transmit the image data via the image receiving and transmitting device, and
wherein the controller is further configured to control the communication device to receive, from the information processing terminal device, the image data and the execution instructing information for instructing the image processing apparatus to transmit the image data via the image receiving and transmitting device.
