The invention claimed is: 1. A compound of the formula I wherein X, Y and Z, independently of each other, are C 1-4 alkyl, C 3-6 cycloalkyl, C 1-4 haloalkyl, C 1-4 alkoxy, C 2-6 alkenyl, C 2-6 alkynyl, halogen, or phenyl or phenyl substituted by C 1-4 alkyl, C 1-4 haloalkyl, halogen or cyano; m and n, independently of each other, are 0, 1, 2 or 3 and m+n is 1, 2 or 3; G is hydrogen, a metal, ammonium, sulfonium or a latentiating group; R is hydrogen, C 1-6 alkyl, C 1-6 haloalkyl, C 1-6 cyanoalkyl, C 2-6 alkenyl, C 2-6 haloalkenyl, C 3-6 alkynyl, benzyl, C 1-4 alkoxy(C 1-4 )alkyl or C 1-4 alkoxy(C 1-4 )alkoxy(C 1-4 )alkyl; and wherein, when G is a latentiating group, then G is selected from the groups phenylC 1 alkyl (wherein the phenyl is optionally substituted by C 1 -C 3 alkyl, C 1 -C 3 haloalkyl, C 1 -C 3 alkoxy, C 1 -C 3 haloalkoxy, C 1 -C 3 alkylthio, C 1 -C 3 alkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 3 alkylsulfonyl, halogen, cyano or by nitro), heteroarylC 1 alkyl (wherein the heteroaryl is optionally substituted by C 1 -C 3 alkyl, C 1 -C 3 haloalkyl, C 1 -C 3 alkoxy, C 1 -C 3 haloalkoxy, C 1 -C 3 alkylthio, C 1 -C 3 alkylsulfinyl, C 1 -C 3 alkylsulfonyl, halogen, cyano or by nitro), C 3 alkenyl, C 3 haloalkenyl, C 3 alkynyl, C(X a )—R a , C(X b )—X c —R b , C(X d )—N(R c )—R d , —SO 2 —R e , —P(X e )(R f )—R g and CH 2 —X f —R h ;
