What is claimed is: 1. A method for promoting muscle health, normal muscle function, and/or healthy aging of muscle in skeletal muscle in an animal comprising administering to the animal a solution, dispersion, suspension or emulsion comprising not less than 0.14% by weight of a compound having a structure represented by a formula: wherein R 51 is selected from H, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, and COR 53 ; R 53 is C 1 -C 6 alkyl; Z 51 is NR 54 ; and R 54 is selected from H and C 1 -C 6 alkyl, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, thereby promoting muscle health, normal muscle function, and/or healthy aging of muscle as measured by one or more of (1) increased muscle formation, (2) decreased muscle atrophy, (3) increased muscle hypertrophy, (4) increased exercise capacity, (5) increased muscle protein synthesis, (6) increased muscle mitochondria, (7) increased muscle force generation, (8) increased muscle strength, or (9) increased anabolic signaling in the skeletal muscle of the animal. 2. The method according to claim 1 wherein the compound has a structure represented by the formula E1 3. The method according to claim 1 wherein R 51 is selected from H and C 1 -C 6 alkyl. 4. The method according to claim 1 wherein R 51 is H. 5. The method according to claim 1 wherein R 54 is H. 6. The method according to claim 1 wherein the compound has the structure represented by formula: 7. The method according to claim 1 wherein said solution, dispersion, suspension or emulsion comprises not less than 0.28% by weight of said compound. 8. The method according to claim 1 wherein the compound is present in an amount greater than 5 mg.
