What is claimed is: 1. An air filter cartridge for removable installation in a housing; the air filter cartridge comprising: (a) a media pack comprising pleated media surrounding an open interior; the media having first and second ends; (b) a first end cap positioned on the media first end and extending completely across the first end of the media between media inner and outer perimeters; and, (c) a second end cap positioned on the media second end and extending at least completely across the second end of the media between media inner and outer perimeters; (d) a portion of one of the end caps including a radially directed surface having a serpentine shape with at least five each of alternating radially facing convex and radially facing concave portions; (i) the radially directed surface having a serpentine shape with an outer cross dimension that is smaller than an outer cross-dimension of an outermost portion of the media pack; (e) a seal support in overlap with the first end of the media at a location between a media inner perimeter and a media outer perimeter; and, (f) the first end cap being an open end cap having a molded-in-place portion on the first end of the media; (i) the seal support being embedded in a portion of the molded-in-place portion of the first, open, end cap; and, (iii) the molded-in-place portion of the first, open, end cap defining a radially outwardly projecting housing radial seal having a seal surface in overlap with the first end of the media at a location between a media inner perimeter and media outer perimeter, and, supported by the seal su ort. 2. An air filter cartridge according to claim 1 wherein: (a) the media pack is configured in a conical shape. 3. An air filter cartridge according to claim 1 wherein: (a) the radially directed surface having a serpentine shape with radially facing convex and radially facing concave portions comprises a radially directed surface with at least eight radially outwardly facing convex and concave portions. 4. An air filter cartridge according to claim 1 wherein: (a) the portion of one of the end caps comprising a radially directed surface having a serpentine shape comprises a radially outwardly directed surface with a serpentine shape. 5. An air filter cartridge according to claim 4 wherein: (a) the radially directed surfacing having a serpentine shape that extends around an interior having a distance thereacross no more than an inner perimeter of the media. 6. An air filter cartridge according to claim 4 wherein: (a) the media has a conical shape. 7. An air filter cartridge according to claim 1 wherein: (a) the radially directed surfacing having a serpentine shape is positioned on a projection that extends in a direction away from an opposite end cap. 8. An air filter cartridge according to claim 1 wherein: (a) the second end cap is a closed end cap. 9. An air filter cartridge according to claim 8 wherein: (a) the second, closed, end cap includes a molded-in-place portion having the second end of the media embedded therein. 10. An air filter cartridge according to claim 9 wherein: (a) the second end cap includes an inner surface and an outer surface; (i) the outer surface including a first receiving groove at least 6 mm deep therein; (A) the outer wall of the receiving groove being spaced radially inwardly at least 20 mm from the media pack; and, (ii) the inner surface having a central receiver projecting outwardly away from the first end cap; (ii) the central receiver being surrounded by the receiving groove. 11. An air filter cartridge according to claim 10 wherein: (a) the receiving groove in the outer surface of the second end cap is positioned between inner and outer walls spaced no more than 20 mm apart. 12. An air filter cartridge according to claim 11 wherein: (a) the media surrounds an inner liner. 13. An air filter cartridge according to claim 8 wherein: (a) the media surrounds a media support. 14. An air filter cartridge according to claim 13 wherein: (a) the media support and the seal support are integral with one another. 15. An air filter cartridge according to claim 13 wherein: (a) the media support includes a portion embedded in the molded-in-place portion of the second end cap. 16. An air filter cartridge for removable installation in a housing; the air filter cartridge comprising: (a) a media pack comprising pleated media surrounding an open interior; the media having first and second ends; (b) a first end cap positioned on the media first end, (c) a second end cap positioned on the media second end; (d) a portion of one of the end caps including a radially directed surface having a serpentine shape of alternating radially facing convex and radially facing concave portions; (i) the radially directed surface having a serpentine shape with an outer cross dimension that is smaller than an outer cross-dimension of an outermost portion of the media pack; (e) a seal support in overlap with the first end of the media at a location between a media inner perimeter and a media outer perimeter; and, (f) the first end cap being an open end cap having a molded-in-place portion on the first end of the media; (i) the seal support being embedded in a portion of the molded-in-place portion of the first, open, end cap; and, (ii) the molded-in-place portion of the first, open, end cap defining a radially projecting housing radial seal having a seal surface in overlap with the first end of the media at a location between a media inner perimeter and a media outer perimeter; and, supported by the seal support. 17. An air filter cartridge according to claim 16 wherein: (a) the radially directed surface having a serpentine shape comprises at least five each of alternating radially facing convex and radially facing concave portions. 18. An air filter cartridge according to claim 17 wherein: (a) the radially projecting housing radial seal comprises a radially outwardly projecting housing radial seal. 19.
