A method for reducing power consumption of an electronic device. The method includes setting a luminance of a display to a minimum, and reducing a data amount sent to the display.
Opening claim text (preview).
What is claimed is: 1. A method for reducing power consumption of an electronic device, the method comprising: setting a luminance of a display to a minimum; lowering a refresh rate of the display to decrease the number of images displayed on the display; and lowering an interface clock of the display to decrease an amount of data sent from a memory to an image processor. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the setting of the luminance of the display to a minimum comprises: comparing a remaining battery power with a threshold; and when the remaining battery power falls below the threshold, minimizing the luminance of the display. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the setting of the luminance of the display to a minimum comprises setting a luminance of a display to a minimum in a menu. 4. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs comprising instructions which, when executed by an electronic device, cause the device to execute the method according to claim 1 . 5. An electronic device for reducing power consumption, the electronic device comprising: one or more processors; a display; a memory; and one or more programs stored in the memory and configured for execution by the one or more processors, wherein the one or more programs comprise an instruction for minimizing a luminance of the display and reducing a data amount sent to the display, lowering a refresh rate of the display to decrease the number of images displayed on the display, and lowering an interface clock of the display to decrease an amount of data sent from a memory to an image processor. 6. The electronic device of claim 5 , wherein the one or more programs comprise an instruction for comparing a remaining battery power with a threshold, and minimizing the luminance of the display when the remaining battery power falls below the threshold. 7. An electronic device for reducing power consumption, the electronic device comprising: one or more processors; a display; and a memory, wherein the processor is configured to: minimize a luminance of the display, lower a refresh rate of the display to decrease the number of images displayed on the display, and lower an interface clock of the display to decrease an amount of data sent from a memory to an image processor. 8. The electronic device of claim 7 , wherein the processor compares a remaining battery power with a threshold, and minimizes the luminance of the display when the remaining battery power falls below the threshold.
