Antiproliferative compounds having a structure represented by formula (II), where n, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , and R 5 are as defined herein, can be used to treat tumors, optionally when conjugated to a ligand such as an antibody:

What is claimed is: 1. A conjugate having a structure according to the formula where Ab represents an antibody. 2. A conjugate according to claim 1 , wherein Ab is a monoclonal antibody. 3. A conjugate according to claim 1 , wherein Ab is a human monoclonal antibody. 4. A conjugate according to claim 1 , wherein Ab is an anti-PSMA (prostate specific membrane antigen) antibody, an anti-CD70 antibody, or an anti-mesothelin antibody. 5. A conjugate according to claim 1 , wherein Ab is an anti-CD70 antibody. 6. A conjugate according to claim 5 , wherein the anti-CD70 antibody is antibody 2H5. 7. A conjugate according to claim 1 , wherein Ab is an anti-mesothelin antibody. 8. A conjugate according to claim 7 , wherein the anti-mesothelin antibody is antibody 6A4.
