Abstract

This document discloses molecules having the following formula (“Formula One”):

and processes associated therewith.

First claim

We claim:

1. A composition comprising a molecule according to Formula One:

wherein:
(a) R1 is H;
(b) R2 is H, F, Cl, Br, I, or (C 1 -C 8 )alkyl;
(c) R3 is F, Cl, Br, I, (C 1 -C 8 )alkoxy, or halo(C 1 -C 8 )alkoxy;
(d) R4 is F, Cl, Br, I, or (C 1 -C 8 )alkyl;
(e) R5 is H;
(f) R6 is (C 1 -C 8 )haloalkyl;
(g) R7 is H;
(h) R8 is H;
(i) R9 is H;
(j) R10 is F, Cl, Br, I, (C 1 -C 8 )alkyl, halo(C 1 -C 8 )alkyl, S(O) 2 (C 1 -C 8 )alkyl, NR14R15, or (C 2 -C 8 )alkenyl;
(k) R11 is selected from C(═X5)N(R14)((C 1 -C 8 )alkylC(═X5)N(R14)(R15)) wherein each X5 is independently selected from O, or S;
(l) R12 is H, or (C 1 -C 8 )alkyl;
(m) R13 is H, or (C 1 -C 8 )alkoxy;
(n) R14 is H;
(o) R15 is halo(C 1 -C 8 )alkyl;
(r) X1 is CR12;
(s) X2 is CR13; and
(t) X3 is CR9.

2. A molecule according to claim 1 wherein R11 is selected from the group consisting of C(═O)N(H)(C((CH 3 ) 2 )C(═O)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )),
C(═O)N(H)(CH(CH 3 ))C(═O)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )),
C(═O)N(H)(CH(CH 2 CH 3 ))C(═O)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )),
C(═O)N(H)(CH(CH 3 ))C(═S)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )),
C(═O)N(H)(C((CH 3 ) 2 )C(═S)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )), and
C(═S)N(H)(C((CH 3 ) 2 )C(═S)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )).

3. A molecule according to claim 1 wherein R11 is selected from the group consisting of C(═(O or S))N(H)((C 1 -C 8 )alkyl)C(═(O or S))N(H)(halo(C 1 -C 8 )alkyl)).

4. A molecule according to claim 1 wherein R11 is selected from the group consisting of C(═O)N(H)(C((CH 3 ) 2 )C(═O)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )),
C(═O)N(H)(CH(CH 3 ))C(═O)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )),
C(═O)N(H)(CH(CH 3 ))C(═S)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )),
C(═O)N(H)(C((CH 3 ) 2 )C(═S)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )), and
C(═S)N(H)(C((CH 3 ) 2 )C(═S)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )).

5. A molecule according to claim 1 wherein R11 is selected from the group consisting of C(═O)N(H)(C((CH 3 ) 2 )C(═O)N(H)(CH 2 CF 3 )).

6. A composition according to claim 1 further comprising:
(a) one or more compounds having acaricidal, algicidal, avicidal, bactericidal, fungicidal, herbicidal, insecticidal, molluscicidal, nematicidal, rodenticidal, or virucidal properties; or
(b) one or more compounds that are antifeedants, bird repellents, chemosterilants, herbicide safeners, insect attractants, insect repellents, mammal repellents, mating disrupters, plant activators, plant growth regulators, or synergists; or
(c) both (a) and (b).

A composition according to claim 1 further comprising one or more compounds selected from: (3-ethoxypropyl)mercury bromide, 1,2-dichloropropane, 1,3-dichloropropene, 1-methylcyclopropene, 1-naphthol, 2-(octylthio)ethanol, 2,3,5-tri-iodobenzoic acid, 2,3,6-TBA, 2,3,6-TBA-dimethylammonium, 2,3,6-TBA-lithium, 2,3,6-TBA-potassium, 2,3,6-TBA-sodium, 2,4,5-T, 2,4,5-T-2-butoxypropyl, 2,4,5-T-2-ethylhexyl, 2,4,5-T-3-butoxypropyl, 2,4,5-TB, 2,4,5-T-butomethyl, 2,4,5-T-butotyl, 2,4,5-T-butyl, 2,4,5-T-isobutyl, 2,4,5-T-isoctyl, 2,4,5-T-isopropyl, 2,4,5-T-methyl, 2,4,5-T-pentyl,
