Provided are a novel chalcogen-containing aromatic compound and an organic electronic device using the compound. This compound is a chalcogen-containing aromatic compound represented by the formula (1). Among the organic electronic devices each using this chalcogen-containing aromatic compound are an organic EL device, an organic TFT device, a photovoltaic device, and the like. In the formula (1): X represents oxygen, sulfur, or selenium; A represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aromatic hydrocarbon group, an aromatic heterocyclic group, or an amino group; and n's each independently represent an integer of 0 to 2, provided that a sum of two n's is 1 to 4.

The invention claimed is: 1. An organic semiconductor material, comprising an organic semiconductor material comprising a chalcogen-containing aromatic compound, which is represented by the general formula (1); in the formula (1), X's each independently represent oxygen, sulfur, or selenium, A's each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 30 carbon atoms, to alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, an alkynyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 50 carbon atoms, an aromatic heterocyclic group having 3 to 50 carbon atoms and free of a fused heterocycle having 4 or more rings, or an amino group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, and n's each independently represent an integer of 0 to 2, provided that a sum of two n's is an integer of 1 to 4. 2. An organic semiconductor thin film according to claim 1 , wherein X's in the general formula (1) each independently represent oxygen or sulfur. 3. An organic electronic device, comprising an organic semiconductor material comprising a chalcogen-containing aromatic compound, which is represented by the general formula (1); in the formula (1), X's each independently represent oxygen, sulfur, or selenium, A's each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group having 3 to 30 carbon atoms, to alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, an alkynyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 50 carbon atoms, an aromatic heterocyclic group having 3 to 50 carbon atoms and free of a fused heterocycle having 4 or more rings, or an amino group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, and n's each independently represent an integer of 0 to 2, provided that a sum of two n's is an integer of 1 to 4. 4. An organic electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein the organic electronic device comprises a device selected from a light-emitting device, a thin-film transistor, and a photovoltaic device. 5. An organic electronic device, according to claim 4 , wherein the light-emitting device comprises an organic electroluminescence device. 6. An organic electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein the organic electronic device comprises an organic electroluminescence device, the organic electroluminescence device has at least one organic layer, and at least one of the organic layer contains the organic semiconductor material. 7. An organic electronic device according to claim 6 , wherein at least one of the organic layer of the organic electroluminescence device comprises a light-emitting layer containing a phosphorescent light-emitting dopant, and the light-emitting layer contains the organic semiconductor material. 8. An organic electronic device according to claim 3 , wherein X's in the general formula (1) each independently represent oxygen or sulfur. 9. An organic electronic device according to claim 8 , wherein two X's in the general formula (1) are identical to each other. 10. An organic electronic device according to claim 8 , wherein the organic electronic device comprises a device selected from a light-emitting device, a thin-film transistor, and a photovoltaic device. 11. An organic electronic device according to claim 9 , wherein the organic electronic device comprises a device selected from a light-emitting device, a thin-film transistor, and a photovoltaic device. 12. An organic electronic device according to claim 10 , wherein the light-emitting device comprises an organic electroluminescence device. 13. An organic electronic device according to claim 11 , wherein the light-emitting device comprises an organic electroluminescence device. 14. An organic electronic device according to claim 8 , wherein the organic electronic device comprises an organic electroluminescence device, the organic electroluminescence device has at least one organic layer, and at least one of the organic layer contains the organic semiconductor material. 15. An organic electronic device according to claim 9 , wherein the organic electronic device comprises an organic electroluminescence device, the organic electroluminescence device has at least one organic layer, and at least one of the organic layer contains the organic semiconductor material. 16. An organic electronic device according to claim 14 , wherein at least one of the organic layer of the organic electroluminescence device comprises a light-emitting layer containing a phosphorescent light-emitting dopant, and the light-emitting layer contains the organic semiconductor material. 17. An organic electronic, device according to claim 15 , wherein at least one of the organic layer of the organic electroluminescence device comprises a light-emitting layer containing a phosphorescent light-emitting dopant and the light-emitting layer contains the organic semiconductor material.
