Methods and systems for an improved navigation environment are provided. The navigation system can route users to preferred locations based on user profile data and past experience with the present driver and other drivers. The system provides more cost-effective and time-sensitive routing by incorporating other information about destinations. Further, the navigation system provides enhanced guidance in foreign or unfamiliar locations by incorporating experience from other drivers and other data.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for providing navigation information for a conveyance, comprising: a vehicle control system, including a processor, receiving route information for two or more routes previously traveled by at least one conveyance; the vehicle control system determining a context associated with the route information; the vehicle control system storing the route information and the context; the vehicle control system identifying a pattern associated with the route information and context; the vehicle control system identifying a user associated with the conveyance; the vehicle control system retrieving a user profile associated with the user of the conveyance; and the vehicle control system using pattern information based on the identified pattern and information from the user profile to plan a next route. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the route information includes at least an origin location and a destination. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein at least one route was generated by a navigation system. 4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the context includes information indicating a reason why a driver followed the route. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein two or more drivers in the two or more conveyances provided the route information. 6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the pattern information includes one or more of destinations arrived at certain time periods, routes driven on certain days, and often-traveled routes. 7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the pattern information is provided to a third driver to plan a route. 8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the third driver is unfamiliar with an area surrounding the planned route. 9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the route information and context are stored remotely. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the planned route is associated with information in a user profile of the third driver. 11. A conveyance comprising: a processor operable to execute one or more modules, the modules comprising: a route integration module operable to: receive route information for two or more routes previously traveled by at least one conveyance; determine a context associated with the route information; and store the route information and the context; a pattern recognition module operable to identify a pattern associated with the route information and context; a user identification module that identifies a user associated with the conveyance and retrieves a user profile associated with the user of the conveyance; and a route suggestion module operable to plan a next route using pattern information based on the identified pattern and information from the user profile. 12. The conveyance of claim 11 , wherein the route information includes at least an origin location and a destination, wherein at least one route was generated by a navigation system, and wherein the context includes information indicating a reason why a driver followed the route. 13. The conveyance of claim 12 , wherein two or more drivers in the two or more conveyances provided the route information. 14. The conveyance of claim 13 , wherein the pattern information includes one or more of destinations arrived at e-certain time periods, routes driven on certain days, and often-traveled routes. 15. The conveyance of claim 14 , wherein the pattern information is provided to a third driver to plan a route, and wherein the third driver is unfamiliar with an area surrounding the planned route. 16. A non-transitory computer readable medium stored on a storage medium and having instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform a method, the instructions comprising: instructions to receive route information for two or more routes previously traveled by at least one conveyance; instructions to determine a context associated with the route information; instructions to store the route information and the context; instructions to identify a pattern associated with the route information and context; instructions to identify a user associated with a conveyance; instructions to retrieve a user profile associated with the user of the conveyance; and instructions to plan a next route using pattern information based on the identified pattern and information from the user profile. 17. The computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the route information includes at least an origin location and a destination, wherein at least one route was generated by a navigation system, and wherein the context includes information indicating a reason why a driver followed the route. 18. The computer readable medium of claim 17 , wherein two or more drivers in the two or more conveyances provided the route information. 19. The computer readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the pattern information includes one or more of destinations arrived at certain time periods, routes driven on certain days, and often-traveled routes. 20. The computer readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the pattern information is provided to a third driver to plan a route, and wherein the third driver is unfamiliar with an area surrounding the planned route.
