The present invention relates to methods, pharmaceutical compositions and kits for use in the treatment of Adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma. More particularly, the present invention relates to a combination of an interferon, an arsenic compound and a reverse transcriptase inhibitor for the treatment of Adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma.

The invention claimed is: 1. A method of eradicating leukemia initiating cells in a subject affected with adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma, comprising administering to said adult a dose from 3-5 million international units (MIU) per day of interferon-alpha, a dose from 10-15 mg per day of arsenic trioxide, and a dose from 600 to 1000 mg per kg of body weight per day of zidovudine. 2.
