Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

To be adapted to various types of latex reagents for detecting scattered light and thereby measuring agglutination reactions with high sensitivity while sufficiently ensuring integration time. To be adapted to various types of latex particles of different particle sizes, a plurality of light receivers are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the direction of cell movement by rotation of a cell disk. To ensure sufficient integration time, the angle between the optical axis of the irradiation light and each of a plurality of optical axes of scattered light viewed from above the cell is made equal to or less than 17.7° including a mounting error.

The invention claimed is: 1. An automatic analyzer comprising: a cell disc that holds a cell containing a reaction mixture in which a sample and a reagent are mixed with each other on a circumference thereof and repeats rotation and termination; a transmitted light measuring unit including a first light source, and a first transmitted light receiver configured to receive transmitted light, the transmitted light being generated when irradiation light from the first light source is transmitted through the reaction mixture in the cell; and a scattered light measuring unit including a second light source, and a scattered light receiver configured to receive scattered light, the scattered light being generated upon irradiation of the reaction mixture in the cell with irradiation light from the second light source, wherein the scattered light measuring unit includes a plurality of scattered light receivers with different light receiving angles, the plurality of scattered light receivers being arranged in a plane perpendicular to a rotation direction of the cell disc. 2. The automatic analyzer according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of scattered light receivers are arranged below an optical axis of the irradiation light from the second light source. 3. The automatic analyzer according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of scattered light receivers include a first scattered light receiver arranged above an optical axis of the irradiation light from the second light source, and a second scattered light receiver arranged below the optical axis. 4. The automatic analyzer according to claim 3 , wherein the first scattered light receiver and the second scattered light receiver are arranged at the same angle with respect to the optical axis of the irradiation light from the second light source. 5. The automatic analyzer according to claim 1 , wherein when viewed from a direction perpendicular to the rotation direction of the cell disc, an optical axis of the scattered light received by each of the plurality of scattered light receivers is different. 6. The automatic analyzer according to claim 1 , wherein the scattered light measuring unit includes a second transmitted light receiver configured to receive transmitted light, the transmitted light being generated when irradiation light from the second light source is transmitted through the reaction mixture in the cell. 7. The automatic analyzer according to claim 1 , wherein each of the transmitted light measuring unit and the scattered light measuring unit performs measurement while the cell disc rotates and the cell passes through the transmitted light measuring unit and the scattered light measuring unit. 8. An automatic analyzer comprising: a cell disc that holds a cell containing a reaction mixture in which a sample and a reagent are mixed with each other on a circumference thereof and repeats rotation and termination; a transmitted light measuring unit including a first light source, and a first transmitted light receiver configured to receive transmitted light, the transmitted light being generated when irradiation light from the first light source is transmitted through the reaction mixture in the cell; and a scattered light measuring unit including a second light source, and a plurality of scattered light receivers each configured to receive scattered light, the scattered light being generated upon irradiation of the reaction mixture in the cell with irradiation light from the second light source, wherein the scattered light measuring unit has the plurality of scattered light receivers arranged in a direction perpendicular to a rotating plane of the cell disk, the plurality of scattered light receivers being configured to receive scattered light with different scattering angles. 9.
