The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more memories are one or more memories of a merchant device, the one or more processors are one or more processors of the merchant device, and the merchant device is located at a point of sale (POS) where the gift card was purchased. 3. The system of claim 1 wherein the one or more memories are one or more memories of a server, the one or more processors are one or more processors of the server, and the server is located remotely with respect to a point of sale (POS) where the gift card was purchased. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital wallet is a digital wallet of the user. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the digital wallet is located at a point of sale (POS) and the one or more processors are operable to transfer the money amount from the gift card into the digital wallet substantially at a time when the gift card is purchased at the point of sale (POS). 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the gift card is a physical gift card. 7. A method comprising: storing, in one or more memories, gift card information for a user; receiving, via one or more processors, a communication including an indication of a desire of the user to load a gift card into a digital wallet of a mobile device; accessing, via the one or more processors, the gift card information of the user; and cooperating the one or more processors with the mobile device to transfer a money amount from the gift card into the digital wallet, wherein the one or more processors are further operable to transfer at least a portion of the money amount from the digital wallet to a specified recipient as a gift. 8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the one or more memories are one or more memories of a merchant device, the one or more processors are one or more processors of the merchant device, and the merchant device is located at a point of sale (POS) where the gift card was purchased. 9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the one or more memories are one or more memories of a server, the one or more processors are one or more processors of the server, and the server is located remotely with respect to a point of sale (POS) where the gift card was purchased. 10. The method of claim 7 , wherein the digital wallet is a digital wallet of the user. 11. The method of claim 7 , wherein the digital wallet is located at a point of sale (POS) and the one or more processors are operable to transfer the money amount from the gift card into the digital wallet substantially at a time when the gift card is purchased at the point of sale (POS). 12. The method of claim 7 , wherein the gift card is a physical gift card. 13. A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable medium having computer readable and executable code for instructing one or more processors to perform a method, the method comprising: storing gift card information for a user in one or more memories; receiving a communication including an indication of a desire of the user to load a gift card into a digital wallet of a mobile device; accessing the gift card information of the user; and transferring a money amount from the gift card into the digital wallet, wherein the one or more processors are further operable to transfer at least a portion of the money amount from the digital wallet to a specified recipient as a gift. 14. The computer program product of claim 13 , wherein the one or more memories are one or more memories of a merchant device, the one or more processors are one or more processors of the merchant device, and the merchant device is located at a point of sale (POS) where the gift card was purchased. 15. The computer program product of claim 13 , wherein the one or more memories are one or more memories of a server, the one or more processors are one or more processors of the server, and the server is located remotely with respect to a point of sale (POS) where the gift card was purchased. 16. The computer program product of claim 13 , wherein the digital wallet is located at a point of sale (POS) and the one or more processors are operable to transfer the money amount from the gift card into the digital wallet substantially at a time when the gift card is purchased at the point of sale (POS). 17.
