On a tip of a main body case is formed a cylindrical brush attachment shaft tube to which a toothbrush head (holding unit) is removably attached. In a space within the cylindrical brush attachment shaft tube is disposed a motor to which an eccentric weight generating vibration is attached. Therefore, it is possible for the tip of the toothbrush head to approach the main body case side by the length of the cylindrical brush attachment shaft tube, thereby shortening the total length of an electric toothbrush.
