Bare can be prevented from occurring in a wear indicator. A pneumatic tire has a wear indicator 5 at the groove bottom of a main groove 2 formed in a tread surface 1 and extending in the circumferential direction. The wear indicator 5 is formed in the surface thereof with at least one recess 6.

A pneumatic tire comprising: a main groove formed in a circumferential direction of a tread surface of said pneumatic tire; a wear indicator extending in the tire circumferential direction and projecting outward from a bottom portion of the main groove, wherein the wear indicator is lattice-shaped by forming a plurality of recesses. 2.
