A method of treating pain comprising: administering one or more depots containing clonidine and a statin locally to a target tissue site causing pain in a patient in need thereof to inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokines associated with pain, wherein the pain comprises at least one of acute pain, neuropathic pain, pain from sciatica, or radicular pain. 2.
