The process comprises the steps of: a) providing a contact printing system for printing X colors upon a web substrate wherein X is a whole number and X>1; b) providing the contact printing system with X−Y printing components where Y is a whole number and 0<y<X; and, c) printing the X colors upon the web substrate.
